Balancing on the Razor's Edge of (In)Sanity

Lavender FTW! I love me some lavender. Have you tried Shannon Soaps' Lavender Lemongrass? Her soaps are on my elite list, and the scents are amazing, this one is one of my favorites.

My mother grew up in Cheboygan and I have many relatives there. Michigan is a glamping paradise. We have a family reunion each July 4th in Gladwin, on a lake. I absolutely love Michigan. Enjoy your family time on Lake Huron!
Haven’t tried Shannon’s soaps yet. Officially on my radar, thanks for the tip 👍

Looked up Gladwin since Ive never been there... not far from other places I’ve been... thanks I look forward to the trip. Next month is Frankenmuth. I better break out the lederhosen 🍻

Never stopped there, but I've seen the signs. Looks like an interesting place. Yeah, Gladwin is certainly out in the sticks. Two cousins have vacation homes there, one on the lake, one inland. Pretty country. :)
Something to be said about the sticks.... quiet and usually nice 👍

it’s a tourist spot for sure. We go to Bronners Christmas store to pick up pieces to add to our Christmas decoration village. I’ve had too many Chicken dinners from Zehnders and Bavarian Inn to count in my lifetime.
we stay at Jellystone to camp....like a KOA but Yogi Bear theme. The Kids love it.... but I had to explain to them who Yogi Bear even is since he’s been long off the air 🤦🏼‍♂️
Here my oldest boy with Yogi last year:

Fwiw, I assumed the "glamping" was a type-o. Just looked it up, after other used the same name.

Wow, that sounds interesting. My wife and kids might really like that. I'm looking into it now. [emoji106]

Glamping and princess camping are the terms my wife uses so I just go with it. It’s a blast. My wife and I do not care for hotels, and she is terrified of flying, so this was a logical step to traveling. It’s literally like our home away from home. Here’s my rig:

Gillette Super Speed
Gillette Rubie (4)
SV TSC Brush
T&H Grafton cream
TOBS Mr.Taylor AS

i know creams don’t get much love around here, BUT, the old Brit formulas are pretty great. Almost idiot proof when it comes to building a quality lather. Grafton / Mr. Taylor are certainly VERY similar scents.... think Yukon / Tahoe comparison. Basically the same and both are great. Grade A shave all around.

Yard work and grocery shopping done. SO glad we downsized from 2.5 acres to 0.5 acres.....mowing the lawn with the zero turn takes almost no time. New church tomorrow. First in person service for the family since MARCH. Our old church doesn’t seem to take precautions seriously so that was the last straw for us. Please pray for friendships, fellowship, and of course, sound, biblical teaching. Take care and have a great rest of the weekend Cadre!

Nice setup today!

As much as I like the idea of a bigger yard in the future, I definitely am not one that appreciates having to keep it decent. I’d have to have a service!

Hope the new church is an agreeable experience tomorrow!

My wife’s parents live on 10 acres (but only use maybe 2) so my wife had it in her head that we needed acreage to be happy (newsflash: land does not equal happiness 🤦🏼‍♂️) so after a few homes we settled on a half acre in a sub. Super low HOA, not strict, and on a quiet cul de sac. Super easy to maintain after living on 1 acre and 2.5 acres. I don’t use twitter but if I did #livingthedream

thanks about church. We have been watching on line for a few months now. We like it. Lots of People our age and families like ours. Sound teaching so far. We are used to a 200 or so congregation in a “normal” old school church - this is a newer building where service is in an auditorium like setting. Not a mega church by any means (and certainly wouldn’t be my thing) but bigger than I’m used to. Hoping not to get lost in the shuffle as I’m a pro at that 🤷‍♂️

Ram 1500 5.7 L Hemi V8 .... with the configuration I have, it tows 9800 Lbs .... the wife is already eyeing a fifth wheel and I’m eyeing the Ram 2500 Turbo Diesels (in about 7 years or so!)

Side note: if I ever get to retirement age, I will be getting a Challenger SRT Hellcat
I’ve been today to a cruise in. If I’d been quick enough, I was the only Corvette in the show. But then some really nice units showed up. So no trophy. But mines a driver, not a show car.

What year is your Vette? One of the finest American cars ever built, no doubt 👍
