Anything that can go wrong... Will happen while I'm Shaving

Dang it...may have to go find myself a Henson soon 😂 it’s getting a lot of love lately!

The closest thing to Osage’s smell might be Proraso Green soap, if you’ve ever tried or smelled that. Medicinal is a good description...kinda like Vick’s in a way, with some powderyness. I don’t like it so much by itself (great menthol hit but it feels cheap to me) but it is nice when mixed with other stuff.

It really is a good razor. Not the closest shave, but basically the middle ground I've been looking for. I'm thinking of grabbing a backup something in the near future.

Hmm, might not like it. We'll see. I don't like scents, but a quick fading menthol scent is ok... That's what I thought it had. Hmm.

Ditto. The Henson is just a joy to use. A backup is in my near future as well [emoji106]

@GearNoir yes, go get one. You will not be disappointed....But if you are, you know a few guys looking for backups [emoji6]
Actually, their stock is QUITE depeated. I'm waiting for the Tan in medium to be available before I grab my second. That's likely my next choice.

Also, if he runs a short handle variant by time it comes out, I'll probably grab that. A 3.2" handle would be perfect for me. [emoji846]

Just saw that. A bit out of my price range, but awesome it is releasing. Should sell insanely well. [emoji106]

PRE: Stirling Glacial Bar Soap
SOAP: Mystic Waters Adirondack Jack
RZR: Henson AL13
BLD: Personna Comfort (#3)
POST: Alum Stick
POST: Stirling Glacial Unscented Balm

[emoji294][emoji294][emoji294][emoji294] ½ (4.5/5)

Another good shave with a great razor. No fuss, no problems. Again, I loosened the cap a little bit and it made for a great clean-up. BBS and ready for the evening.

Happy Halloween Cadre!

Awesome.

Since you use the aluminum and like it a lot, I'll be curious how you take to the Titanium.
That’s the funny thing - I hated aluminum prior to trying the Henson. Im actually trying my wife’s aluminum ATT M1 for tonight’s shave, review tomorrow on my journal. I’m hoping the “blade angle/ alignment” along with the heavier material will result in BBS bliss 😇will absolutely review the Ti Henson when in arrives, probably early December from Canada.

POST: Osage Rub

[emoji294][emoji294][emoji294][emoji294] ½ (4.5/5)

Received some orders today, including an ounce (2 samples) of Lisa's newest Premium Somali Rose. After some thought, decided I didn't want to go all in on the new formula. Still liking something about the original clay. So, I now have a tub with a few ounces of each of the three formulas. Very excited to try it. I wasn't in the mood for that scent tonight, so Barbershop still got the nod.

The shave was good, I really can't complain. I was a bit agressive with the Razor, but it worked out fine and I got a BBS shave easily.

I also received a bottle of Osage Rub. I decided today would be as good a time as any to try it. The scent is like Listerine, maybe? It is quite potent. However, the cooling was just right and the scent faded fairly quickly (which is what I hoped for). I'm going to use it again this week, but I think it's a keeper.

Have a great evening Cadre!

We'll see. I hate to judge a product on one use, good or bad. As long as the scent keeps dissipating quick, Osage and I will get along. [emoji23]
While I do like the osage scent, I really reach for it for its cooling effects. I have some I mixed with Dickinson's WH and aloe gell and the scent is gone by the time its dry. I added extra cooling to my most recent batch and now its a full on face freezer plus the benefits of the WH and aloe.

Hmm. Might have to consider dilution if it ends up hanging out too long. As I posted in my first outing, it was gone fairly quickly. I did apply it to a damp face... I also wiped my face after I let the menthol work for a bit. We'll have to see how it goes over the next few tries.

I really liked how it worked though, and I was surprised that I didn't have much of any red on my neck (as I usually do). My current suspicion is the witch hazel in Stirling Balm is a mild irritant. I doesn't hurt, but there's an annoying redness that was pretty much absent last night. More testing needs to be done. [emoji2369]

(I could also be going nuts... That's a strong possibility) [emoji1787]
