A pleasant 2 pass weekend shave. Took the advice of @primotenore and rode the bar with this shaver. Results were fine, as they were with riding the cap and negating pressure.
Probably not shaving tomorrow, so this ends Open Comb OCtober for me. It was a great month of shaves with fave shavers.

Have a great night all!
Great shave, Jason! Beautiful bowl and brush combo!

After using Single Edge shavers exclusively in SEptember and Open Combs exclusively in OCtober, I have some closed comb DE favourites that haven't seen a decent run in a few months. I'll endeavour to rectify that oversight this month.
Love this FH...as efficient as the Z0 I ran with last week, but so much smoother. This older Jeeves soap still produces some of the best lathers in my den, with a pleasant (but a bit faint) scent.
A close up on the Omega knot as I know my friend @primotenore loves to see the beautiful dark hairs in his boar knots...:giggle:
Have a great day all!

Jeeves of Hudson Street is good stuff! I’m fortunate to have a tub of their Turkish Bath shave soap tucked away!
Agreed! This is the only one I have left in the original 7oz tubs (good luck finishing THESE off...) but do have a LE 4oz soap & splash combo (Blood on Steel '30DC') from 4 years ago as well. Usual performance but a scent that I just consider 'meh'. I have Tobacco Bay Leaf in splash only- that is a fantasic scent, imho.

You ALMOST got that right, Jason...Ahem...I LOVE to see big, fat, juicy, scritchy, scratchy dark hairs in YOUR boar knots.
Thank you, I am here every evening at 16:37

Looking good Jason. The brush is gorgeous. That Omega doesn't look too bad. I have one that looks like it came from a Zebra.

Jason, I agree with Clint, that brush handle is gorgeous! I’m also a fan of the BFH, you should let people know that Madame Barbasol requires focus, or she will bite! It's definitely not a razor for wet shaving newcomers!

Another nice shave with the FH...but I did get a weeper beside my mouth. No idea what happened, besides my skin is a little bit less bumpy this morning. Needed to reach for the styptic for the first time in forever. As @jgreenepa often says "Madame Barbasol can bite". I've given up ever believing this soap will get finished 😎.
Have a great day all!

That she can, Jason! She probably noticed that you weren’t 100% focused on her! She’s one jealous gal!

One more day with the FH. I have had a great three days with this favourite. A thinned epidermis this week, but fantastic results.
Have a great day all!

Had to look up what the heck a Kootenay is!
The stuff is made here in the East Kootenay region. The Kootenay River goes back and forth across the Canada/US border before eventually draining into the Columbia. The Southeast corner of British Columbia is known as 'The Kootenays', but more specifically, where the river comes across the border (out of Montana) near the Rocky Mountains is called the East Kootenay and where the river goes back across (out of Kootenay Lake, into Idaho) 80 miles or so to the west is known as the West Kootenay.
If you stayed awake for all of that, you have my condolences...;)

There is no more efficient shaver on the planet, as we both know, as long as Madame Barbasol is respected! Enjoy your day, Jason. That brush handle is beautiful!
