I tried…but my local liquor store is out of Angostura bitters and has no plans of bringing more in. Oh well.
I’d say to check out some lathe accessories if you’re online, but they’re often more expensive than shave gear.

That sucks. The store needs to up its game. I just checked on the Amazon Canada site and they have some. Not sure about the price though.
Thus far I have avoided all purchases. I am going to start setting up the shop this afternoon. So maybe some lathe time in the near future.

Karve OC ‘C’ w 7 O’Clock (Russian Green)

Pulled out the Karve OC plate for OCtober this morning. A very pleasant 2 pass weekend shave with good results...just doing chores around the house. I echo the sentiments expressed by @Clint64 yesterday- I prefer the SB plates. The D is just about as ideal a combo of smoothness and efficiency as I have, and the F plate is a quality ‘technique enforcer’. This OC is fine, too, just not quite the same feel, imho.

It took me awhile to warm up to this soap's scent, but there is no denying that this Mike's lathers very, very well for me. The soon-to-be-finished Bon Vivant seems to do well with it too.

I really like how brass Karve razors get a patina- gives it that rustic look!

I really like this Reserve Spice...I probably don't reach for it enough. To my (unsophisticated) nose, it is a pretty darn good dupe of Shulton.
Today's shave reaffirmed my thoughts about this brush. I love this dense Evo knot, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to bash it out of this handle. Hope it isn't too arrogant sounding to say I'd rather put it in one of my own.

I can’t go wrong with it…is it an excellent knot. Very similar to a Simpson CH2 synth. I can’t remember if you have one or not. If you don’t, I wouldn’t recommend one as it would be so similar to your CH2s.
