Extra info #4:
The Gold & Silver Pawn shop, made famous by the Pawn Star guys is very close to Downtown (a 3 minute bus ride south on Las Vegas Blvd.). The show used to tape there and people used to pawn stuff there….but not so much in the past 4 or 5 years. These days, in order to get in, you have to stand in a line outside and wait for the doorman to let you in. Not much pawning goes on but you can buy a nice hat, keychain or shirt to show you went there. And you can see plenty of the items the Pawn Star guys bought and didn’t sell….its more of a museum and a gift shop and a money-making enterprise. A few years ago, they bought the two buildings next door and flattened them to expand their parking lot and build a BBQ place (not the best in town, in my opinion) and a candy shop for Chumlee. It’s a touristy tourist trap in a town that was built as a tourist trap. But if you love the show….its worth it. Don’t expect to see anyone from the show.
