The Process-
I woke up to the morning sun peaking through the mini-blinds. It wasn’t sunup, perish the thought. But it was ... oh ... mid morning. So let’s shave. Really had to think about my scent choice this morning, so I just randomly sniff through my choices. When
@bentheduck came up, he was kind enough to bring me several soaps. One of which is Stirling’s “The Lounge”. I can’t thank him enough for his generosity. Nope, didn’t shave with it. I really want to, but I don’t have an empty tin ... yet. So I moved onto the Stirling Piacenza sample. My thought was, I will use this up and have a tin for The Lounge. Grabbed the Omega 48, loaded the soap for 30 seconds and whipped up a great lather. I really dig this scent.
I was lazy, so 30 laps on leather. I went with my standard three pass shave of WTG, ATG and ATG and have no drama to report. That was it right there, nailed it! That was an outstanding shave and I am BBS for the win! Man ... oh man! Yup, that good. I’m feeling pretty good about this Naniwa progression.
Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a quick pat dry. A smear of the ASB and everything was right as rain! That shave revealed several things. I really dig that scent and need the matching AS. And I have a better appreciation for that 48 than I previously had. So I guess I will have to buy the puck to fill this tin, buy the AS and a new tin for “The Lounge”. Ugh ... first world probs. Those purchases may have to wait just a bit though. Back ... back enablers!
Home Front -
As I alluded to earlier, that oppressive force has settled over our lands. Rumor has it that it shall pass in about 6 weeks. Some will be spared, some will not. I can’t speak further of these things. But what the crap ... it’s the weekend! Time to unwind. So today I am goofing off. Have a few errands and may check out a thrift store. Mowing will probably happen closer to dusk. No agendas, just doing. Life is good!
