Your Latest Fragrance Purchase

I tried YSL Y Le Parfum at Sephora and both my wife and I loved it. Unfortunately since it's so new and not at discounters I couldn't justify the purchase but can't wait to throw it on at home now that I have a proper sample.

Tried SB Infrared on my arm last time I was in Macy's and wrote down "Sweet and spicy, seems like a great holiday scent, get sample" so I think it'll be great to pair with my Stirling Christmas Eve soap and balm! Always curious to see if my impressions from a tester bottle at the store carry forward to an actual "real life" try on at home.

It's always t great idea to test at home, in real life, when you can.

It's also pretty normal for a scent to smell different the first wearing than any other. I don't know why, but I've had it happen many times. I guess the nose sort of assimilates the scent. Duds have turned great with further trials, and greats have gone boring.

The site says you can get two free samples, but I politely asked for four. All four came and a 30 ml bottle of room spray. The home gym is going to smell terrific now!



I always love seeing the difference presentations when ordering fragrances. Plain box, but nice paper inside.

I knew you would be and just posted an initial impression review. IMO 30 ml worthy, and a great hot weather scent. If you like the Nicolai DNA, it feels like a safe buy, though totally different than NYI and PI.

Ok guys, this is it! If you are a Rive Gauche fan and can tolerate the opening, this will scratch your RG itch and then some!

I've seen this come up so many times in greatest leather/fougere of all time posts. Being in the same frag mode as @GearNoir and having 35€ sitting in my account, I couldn't resist late one night a couple of weeks back.

Opening: Rubbing alcohol, yep, that lasts for maybe 30 seconds, then birch tar leather, maybe 30 minutes, then suddenly I'm wondering if I've just used RG. In some ways it's even better, but obviously for the price, potency isn't huge. I don't care though.

Another Cyber Monday sale at a local shopping mall and these were their door buster deals. Just had to grab them as I already have 1 of each of the YSL L'Homme EDP & TF Noir Extreme. But, the Bond No 9 Bleecker St. was a must for me as I had sampled it but, never went out and purchased one as the prices were just to high for what it is. At 60% off though, I pulled the trigger with no regrets. All three under $260. Got'em!
