Got a nice sample pack from Chris

The one I thought I would really like is the sir fougere as I am finding I really like woodsy scents. It was a little "perfumy" to me in the tub. Haven't had the chance to try it yet to see if it changes during the shave. Hoping that tames down just a bit. In all honesty, I've never smelled the scent it is based on, so I really had no idea what to expect. I just saw fougere and was hoping for more "fern" type scent.
These are a little hit and miss for me as I really don't like the smell of lavender, but some don't make it stand out as much.
The cherry blossom bamboo I wasn't too sure about, but it is amazing! Probably my favorite of the bunch.
The orange dirt is a little mild in the tub, but hoping it will come out more when lathered.
The one I did try so far was the dragons blood. This is an interesting scent. Very nice though. This is the one that I have had the chance to try and I really liked it. Performance was.... well... It's a CBL soap.. What else is there to say? It is definitely top notch all the way. I used my CJB feather clone and it just glides right over my face with this stuff. Excellent soap!
Work has been busy.... We are upgrading our gang rip saw to have an optimizer. In english, a gang rip saw is like a table saw with multiple blades set at varying distances apart allowing you to make multiple cuts and even multiple sizes the entire length of a board with one pass through the saw. The optimizer will "read" the board and adjust the fence automatically to allow for the best output from each individual board.
So I've been cutting out the old hydraulic cylinder and mount and fabricating and welding in a mount for the new cylinder that has a magnetic resistance sensor in it that tells the computer where it is at in it's travel range.
Then our triple head went down today. (Has a planer head, rough sanding head, and finish sanding head all in one pass.) So I spent 3 hours machining new and adjusting parts for that.
We are having a new roof put on the plant, so I may be working over this weekend to repair some blower lines, and at some point we are going to remove the air compressor intake pipes from the roof and re-route them through the wall, so will be doing some pipefitting and more welding there.
On the more personal side, some of you know that "the boss" has primary progressive MS. We spent almost 3 years trying to figure out what was going on because of insurance blocking a head MRI to find the lesions. We also finally found a good neurologist who she really liked and insurance screwed that up as well since he was out of state. So she has been untreated for the last 3 years because she was allergic to the first 2 they tried and then the insurance change happened before we could try another. We have also been fighting for 3 years with constant denials for social security disability.
Monday, she finally got back in to her normal PCP. She (the PCP) is actually really good and actually cares. You end up waiting a bit in the office, but it's because she takes the time to talk to you. She is setting the boss up with an appointment for a new local neurologist that actually takes her insurance and isn't 2 hours away, and is also going to help out with the SS crap that you have to do. So finally... hopefully.... it seems we have a little good news on that front. Got my fingers crossed anyhow.
