Words of wisd..... Yeah right.... We all know better than that!

Apparently you bought the cutie his bib :ROFLMAO:
Actually no I didn't. I like it though!
He is definitely a grandpa's boy already. If he's here when I come home from work he perks right up and starts smiling and jumping around all excited to see me.
His mom and grandma would get mad because ever since he has started smiling if they said grandpa to him he would smile. :ROFLMAO:

Oh!!! I got your package yesterday! The razor is really cool! I tried one of the wizamet blades last night in a tech head. I actually didn't feel like I had a blade in it, but it was very efficient. Surprisingly so actually for having no blade feel at all.
I got a little AS sting, but that may have been me pushing because I didn't feel the blade or that it was cutting.

I figured someone else got it for him. Just ribbing. Glad you like the stuff and he'll be pounding a hammer for you before you know it.. (y)

I've already got plans for a wooden anvil to make when he's big enough to start making playdo damascus.

Is there any difference between the Polish and Russian iridium blades?

Not sure what was made where. To me these are better than the Pol Silvers which supposedly are what the Wizamet came to be. In other words, I don't research much. I just try to see what I like.

Got ya....it'll be pretty easy for me since I have TSC's smallest shaving "den" if you can call it a den.
Mine is pretty small, too. I'll have to gather all my gear in one place and take a picture. You will probably win the smallest den competition, Shawn, as I've loosened up my minimalist tendencies.

Mine is moderate I'd say. Probably around 40 soaps now, up to about 8 after shaves and the boss just told me I needed to get some of the Captain's aventis after smelling the sample on me today. I think I'm around 20 brushes although some are vintage needing restored. And last count I think I was at 50ish razors between straights, de, and se.

Got my soaps from @The Monkey the other day. Second shave with the beta 1 today (it's in the bowl) and I have to say this is some pretty good stuff. Reminds me a lot of vintage William's, and I think that's what John was shooting for.
Not quite at an elite for me, but for a first beta it's damn good. Good slickness, good cushion, whips up fairly easily and quickly, and has a good post feel.

I also used a wizamet blade @Dave in KY sent me. I think I was on 4 days of growth. I put plate 3 on the 6s and mowed it all down. This blade seems to do better with little growth. First pass I could really feel it working hard to keep up. Not a painful tugging, but definitely slowing down a bit. Second pass was just as smooth as could be though. Still no irritation or issues other than it complains a little about having to do hard work. It likes the easy jobs haha.

OK, I win. Razors: 5 Brushes: 3 AS: 8 Soaps: <12.

Shaves lately have been the same as above. Love the 6s and The Monkey's soap is doing just fine. Same brush since I'm too lazy to turn around and grab a different one...

Work has been busy this week. Monday we had to tear apart an adjusting screw mechanism on one of the molder heads. The ACME screw had seized up in the geared collar, so we replaced that. While putting that back together, we noticed one of the drive pulleys was loose. We pulled that out to find the shaft was worn, the key slot was opened up to twice it's size, and the bore of the pulley was worn.

So I bored and re-keyed the pulley, made a new shaft and adjusted to allow for the new bearings being slightly different in size, and matched the pulley seat to the new bore diameter.

Today I had to take one of the heads off another rip saw. I took it all apart and turned all the rollers on the lathe to true them up. Cleaned and de-burred all of the shafts, and put all new bearings in.

The reason we had to pull the head was this part being completely worn out. You can see where it has worn into the set screw that locks the shaft in place.

Unfortunately, I couldn't put it back together yet. We ordered the arm for the number 4 roller. We got an arm for the number 3 roller. It's actually the same piece by design, except they face opposite directions. So the new one is backwards.

I like the can of Jolt! Sounds like something I would drink!

Once again...another post of Shawn's that make me realize I am pretty useless as a Man!
