What Fragrance Did You Use Today?

Frederic Malle Monsieur

Helena and I went to see ballet at our local theatre, the right after my class in the same theater. A friend of mine was performing and he gave me the inside scoop, which was a good thing, as some of it was maybe not the best I've seen. My poor friend got paired with a girl twice his height and he had to try to hoist her around and almost fell over!
Thankfully he had a 2nd pas de deux that was spectacular, and stole the show. This was with his girlfriend, who's also a great ballet teacher.

Monsieur is my go to choice for these occasions, and might be my overall favorite fragrance of all time, though it had to grow on me in that context. I just find it to be hypnotic. Oddly it's very linear to my nose, but its linearity is very complex both very earthy while being very aromatic, and zero trace of patchouli mustiness. You can tell by the dent in the bottle that I must love this stuff.

Men's Classic Cologne

Wanted to try it out and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Lasted a good while and smelled like a remixed version of Polo Green. Definitely need to look into an atomizer decanter, not fun having to reapply a splash in a vintage bottle.

Today's Spray: Polo Explorer

Well, this is gonna be my signature scent for a little while until I burn out this little 1.7oz bottle.

Now just because it doesn't impress me after my somewhat harsh review, doesn't mean I hate it and can't wear it. It's a good daily driver and gets noticed/complemented, given it's mass appeal. After this, back to my more bold catalogue.
