Maitre Parfume et Gantier - Ambre Precieux

The quintessential amber. I've really been into these heavier winter fragrances this year. This is one of the few true ambers I really love, as most I've tried just get too cloying, but this manages to just hit the threshold without crossing it, so I enjoy it the whole time.

Polo Cologne Intense

It's a very bleak overcast day. I'm sick, tired, I have a headache, and I have to work after a grueling 4 day weekend of going to Universal while sick with a cold that won't let up.

I wanted something green, refreshing, and a little mature. This is NOT a Eau De Parfum. As the name implies, it's a Eau de Cologne Intense, meaning it's a cologne based mixture with just strong ingredients. It protects hard for about a refreshing 15-30 minutes and becomes a close scent by an hour, and a skin scent by 3 hours.

The idea is this is the light and refreshing Cologne interpretation of Polo, which is an EDT, and the Polo Oud version is the EDP.

It's green, dark, yet refreshing. It lacks the harshness of original polo while maintaining its warm, smokey identity with vetiver instead of the dry tobacco and leather. Give it a try for a nice spring or cool summer day.
 
*secret fun fact. On the topic of Polo, I'm actually not a fan of original Polo Green despite being a Ralph Lauren fan. I have enjoyed all other versions and interpretations of Polo Green, but I cant get behind the original!
