What Fragrance Did You Use Today?

Nobile 1942 Fougere Nobile
I've had this for a while, and it's been a definite grower. Being on a fougere roll right now, I wore this to a small gathering today and got a "You smell amazing", that was fun and never happens.
Just going by how it smells to me vs the note list, I get a very rich musky take on genre, a touch of green basil and tobacco, and bit of vanillic sweetness, probably from tonka bean. I really like Nobile 1942's house musk, it's got a sophisticated anmimalic feel to it that stands out.

Le Galion Sang Bleu
Old school blue fragrance a'la Kouros but with quality materials. Funny how scents come in and out of rotation, didn't want to use this at all for a while, now I'm loving it. That's probably form using so many classic style fougeres lately. And trying my sample of the updated version of this. They did a minor reformulation a couple of years ago, adding more birch. I really liked that, could even see it being worth picking up. This original is decidedly more niche feeling and really evokes a lot of memories from places I used to visit back home. The new feels more classically masculine, though they are both clearly cut from the same cloth.

Le Galion Sang Bleu (2022 version)

Continuing my comparison to the reformulated 2022 version with my original 2016. First test was head to head, so I had both on at the same time at some point. There was a clear difference, enough to make it feel worth exploring.
Yesterday was the OG, loved it, there's something in the musty incensy dry down that takes me to the time I spent in a monastery.
Today it's the reformulation, and it's much more classically aromatic masculine, which is sort of my grail thing, and it's nailing it for me. But the big surprise is were the dry down is, which is essentially niche Floid Blue. Now that stuff was my gateway drug into aftershaves and now fragrances, and still one of my personal all time favorite scents.
Needless to say, I'm anxiously awaiting my bottle.

Parfum d'Empire - Vetiver Bourbon
This house is masterful with natural smelling fragrances, some of the best out there. Vetiver Bourbon (named after the older name of Reunion Island in east of Madagascar) is enhanced vetiver root. If you like vetiver, it's basically a must have IMHO. The rootyness of the vetiver is enhanced a deepened with orris root, which also works to soften the edges just a touch, and take it from being wild in your face, to something entirely more elegant.
Top notch perfumery here, but most likely only appreciated by fans of vetiver.
