I finished the Monkey Shoulder ages ago. But couldn’t let the bottle go. We’ve repurposed it....... for other reasons..

I’ve gone back and forth between the Glenmorangie and my bottle of Eagle Rare a couple times now. I continue to be struck by how smooth the Glenmorangie is, smoother, more mellow, and perhaps even nearly as sweet as the ER but without the spice bite up front! It has an interesting, almost olive finish, which I’m guessing must be the peat. Both great though in their own right.

We had a friend of my wife's over last night for their 31st birthday. Once the kids went to bed we apparently decided to pretend it was her 21st.
I'm honestly surprised I didn't have any ill effects to deal with this morning beyond going to bed way later than I should have.
