What are you anxiously waiting to be delivered ???

He sent me a sample with my last order of Master Barber Bay Rum
Must have been a sample of a test batch or maybe something upcoming. I don’t believe he’s ever had a pure bay rum for sale before.

It does say Beta on the wrapper, so you're right. Both samples are great smelling.

I have liked the scent of every CBL soap, having splurged on 9, and the two samples. Roasted Oatmeal Stout, may be the most enjoyable scent I've encountered in a shaving soap. I'm looking forward to the three new varieties on order.

Every time I try to name a top 4-5 I realize others I forgot and would include also. Hard to pick all time favorites. Dragons Blood and Ghost Dragons Blood are 2 more if available that are killer. I do have 32 different of his that took over my top of my 3 shelves completely.

Very nice! I've sort of been that way with Stirling stuff.

New Simpson's brush inbound!

It's no secret that I am an exclusice Simpson brush man. And I tend to gravitate toward those smaller and less "iconic" ones. No Chubbies or Dukes for me (though absolutely do respect their well-earned stature).

Background:

I started my wet shaving adventure with a Fifties Series "56" Best Badger... still my favorite mix of handle size, knot dimensions, and blend of backbone & softness!

Next was the TULIP T2 Super Badger! Luxiously soft with true "stand-alone" handle design that is so pleasing to hold and to behold! That super badger knot is super huge (by my standards) and super dense and super SUPER soft!

Then I acquired a Wee Scot! Yes, this one is somewhat "iconic", but is still in the "outlier" sisterhood of brushes. A joy to own and to USE in regular rotation!

Now I just pulled the trigger on a Milk Churn! Talk about a unique one! No other brush (handle) like it anywhere out there! How could I ever pass this one up? I bet she churns up some buttery lather!!!

I think we need a library of acronyms somewhere around here
Yep, where could that be

🧐 🧐 oh...

Edit: it was last updated in 2018, Dave! I don't go that deep, I'm afraid of monsters!
