What are you anxiously waiting to be delivered ???

Found this for sale used. Wanted to try a Merkur 'Bakelite'. Got a good price so today's the day (well 3-5 business days is the day, lol). [emoji2957]

You will love it! I love mine! Just watch the blade alignment and careful with the pressure. Hell of a shaver there @mrdoug

Having never tried any of the vintage Gillette 3 piece razors, I procured a pre-war Canadian Tech in mid-June. It arrived, I fell in love, and knew I needed it to be replated. Sent it along with my Red Tip out to BRG a couple days later.

USPS promptly lost my small flat rate box. Been sitting in my local origin distribution center for over two weeks, with both inquiries with USPS resulting in no update, only "we are unable to locate the package."

Holding vigil in the hopes that somehow it's discovered in the bowels of the distribution center and I get them back...

Believe it or not, as of 15 minutes ago, there is now a happy ending to this story.

I happened to pull the tracking info for the two razors this morning just for kicks (I had stopped checking after no updates for a month) and on Friday night, apparently not too long after I posted this, my package departed the local distribution center here in Chicago where it had been sitting for 34 days. It then got scanned in and out of the Las Vegas destination facility early yesterday morning. And while it still shows as "In Transit" on the USPS website, Chris emailed me to let me know he had them in his possession. I cannot believe that not only did they show up out of the bowels of the distribution center but now they're safely at their destination, a mere 38 days after dropping at my local post office. What have I learned? To cough up a few extra bucks for FedEx flat rate going forward!

Now anxiously awaiting Chris to send back these two razors with beautiful factory nickel finishes!
