What’s new to you?

I've been busy lately. Here's what I've received, with more coming in the next few days. Birth year Red Tip, Elite Razors 24mm Manchurian White,
PdP #63, Oleo Sandalwood, & 2 older formulations of Lisa's.

Nice stuff Steve and David
Dave will we at least get Shave reports on the prototype?
\nI\'ll mention some in my SOTD but as it isn\'t the final product yet I may be minimal in what is written or if I have the ok to say more it needs to be with the understanding that there may be changes or adjustments if needed.

Got my razor pif from Doug in the mail, along with a Weber handle I ordered off ebay. It tried the injector today & loved it. Never tried an injector before.

Trying out a new Pomade. The girl (who is an actual barber...not a hairstylist...barbering license and all) said that this pomade has been getting VERY favorable reviews from her clientele. I was using the Suavacito Premium Blend, but this place where I buy from doesn't carry it any longer. So...I guess I will see if this stuff is any good.

I was using Suavecito and really liked it, but I need to use so much of it in my hair that it became too expensive. The only place I could get it around here was selling it for $13/tub.

That’s my deal with most pomades I find, need to use too much and it’s costly, besides the fact that I haven’t found any that stand up to some abuse. Cheap gel remains my go to unfortunately.

That's about as good as it gets for pomades. There are a lot of pomades that are twice as much and only two ounces.

The stuff I just got was about $16 for about four ounces. But I don't have a ton of hair .

I'm still a fan of the Nostalgic Grooming line of water based, non-traditional pomades...the Super waterbased is some great stuff. You just have to make sure you fully break it down before application.

I've heard some good stuff about the Prospectors pomades, however. Interested to hear your take on it.

So far so good! But I'll talk more about it after I wear it for a few days!

Finally got my CBL Soap order in, and am SUPER stoked with it!

The California Sunrise was a scent that asked Chris to do, it being based off Amouage Sunshine Man, one of my favorite frags hands down. He did two different tubs up in the hemp oil formula, one with no cooling agents and one with the V2 cooling mixture. Can't wait to break this stuff out!

Chris also included a tub of Bay Rum...quite an interesting take on that scent profile, much less clove to my nose and quite pleasant. Christmas Memories is very nice indeed, as is three pines. The Tobacco Caramel is pretty weak out of the tub, at least it was when I was smelling it. I think I was a bit nose blind the couple of times that I went to smell it, as it was after a couple of the other soaps. Lastly, a tub of the CBL Barbershop, which is just a great take on the barbershop genre of scents. All in all...one happy camper!
