Non-shave acquisition time... from my shopping trip this evening...
IMG_20190906_212241850[1].jpg

I just opened this bottle. Holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This stuff is some of the best bourbon that I have ever tasted. I am glad that I took the recommendation from the guy at the store. It is so worth more than I paid for it. Delicious.

The following is almost impossible to find... and is a Christmas present for my FIL... I really, really like my FIL.

Wow, numbered small batch nice!

Had a couple of nice mail calls on Thursday and Friday, but I’ve been out of town!

First, this awesome brush from ThatDarnRob. I did not intend to purchase another brush, but saw it and couldn’t resist. It has a 26mm “Fanchurian” knot. Seems like it will be nice. The brush is just stunning in person.

Also received my Fougere Angelique and Gothique sets from Maggard. Great stuff! Couldn’t help my self and through in a Speick for September. Never tried Speick or a shave stick, so that should be fun!

Oh ya, also got the pomade. Also excited to give that a try! 😎

Bummer KJ. Flash review for you based one one use of each. Both scents are complex and far from being one dimensional. Angelique, as I said earlier opens with lime, but transitions to some woodiness. Gothique is growing on me. It opens with something I find reminiscent of wet soil (not in a bad way) then turns to darker woods. This is my first experience with the Reserve base - my other B&M products are both in the Glissant base. I experienced the stringiness that has been noted elsewhere to be associated with this base. It needs less load time and more water based on my two tries. Also, it is quite slick has a slightly better post shave feel than the Glissant.
