Welcome Ethos Grooming

I know what it is, and I can't wait!
Yep, you just have to chug the bottle to get to the "surprise".

I wanted to post this image up as we just finished the label design tonight after going back and forth on the colors. This will be the label on the special release “ Mysore Sandal Skin Food Splash” which uses real Mysore Sandalwood oil from India which if your unfamiliar with is considered the finest Sandalwood oil with its rich creamy scent. Sadly because of mismanagement of the Sandalwood forests many of the trees were lost to fires and flooding throughout the years and is now under government control so it is very difficult to get here in the US and the cost of it per once is stupid expensive. I’m very lucky to have a friend in India who helped me obtain some. There’s also a little surprise in every bottle which I’ll show you when it’s ready for release which should only be a couple of weeks.

Hope you like the label

UPDATE:

Hello all. Just thought I'd update you all on the ETHOS Project. Well I have some good news and some bad. I finished making the Lavender Shave Soap and Skin Food Splash and I just put the order in for the labels for them. I made the Skin Food Splash first and so when I went to make the Shave soap I noticed I didn't have a 2nd bottle of the Lavender EO for the soap which I had brought into the CBD labs to use on their Skin Balm and Lip Balm. So I only had enough for 30 jars of the Shave Soap. I did get my full 62 bottles of Skin Food Splash made so I'm happy about that. I ordered more Lavender which comes all the way from France so it will be a bit before I can make the next batch but I'll keep you all updated on when the next batch will be complete. So just waiting on the labels and I'll post up the finished product photos when they are ready which I'm hoping should be Monday or Tuesday of next week. With so few one member suggested I take pre orders on the Shave Soap. I don't require any money. I'll just start a list of names so pm me if you'd like to pre order the Lavender Shave Soap. Here is the ingredient list below.

Lavender Shave Soap ingredients list: Aqua, Stearic Acid, Grass Fed Beef Tallow, Duck Fat, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Organic Glycerin, Organic Shea Butter, Potassium Stearate, Sheep’s Milk, Natural oils of Apricot Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Lavender EO, EOS Complex, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Allantoin, Oat Amino Acids, Olive Oil, Lanolin, Lonicera Caprifolium (natural full spectrum preservative which is made from Honeysuckle Flower Extract ) Chamomile Extract, Calendula Extract.

Shave soap Size 210 ml
Price:$35
Skin Food Splash 60 ml
Price- $25

Also started to work on and should have a Post Shave Serum ready in a few weeks and I'd like to say I'm working on two for now. So I'd like some feedback from the members. I've already made up my mind on the Sensitive Skin formula and I won't put any EO's in for although It may have a little natural scent that will come from the oils used in the formula like the Red Raspberry oil for example but it will be very faint. So my question is should I put the matching scents to the Shave soaps and Skin Food splashes in the other formula or just make both formulas unscented? I've been going back and forth. My reasoning is it would be simple to make them unscented and it would probably lower the cost to both myself and to the customer but I also think it would be nice to have the matching scents because some folks might only use the serum and forgo the Skin Food or they may use both but by using and unscented one it will probably somewhat dilute or cut down on the scent of the Skin Food Splash when used together. Also there are some awesome EO's that offer skin benefits as well as adding to the whole olfactory experience of the shave and I'm leaning in the direction of making matching post shave serums for most scents I do in Shave Soaps and Skin Food Splashes. Your thoughts?

UPDATE:

So since I can't edit the above post I wanted to add the ingredient list for the Lavender Skin Food Splash.

Ingredients: SDA 40B, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) EOS Complex, Lavender Essential oil Oat Amino Acid, DL – Panthenol, Allantoin, Aloe Vera, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Chamomile Extract, Honeysuckle Extract, Calendula Extract.

As some of you know the EOS Complex contains 36 ingredients of which some of the ingredients on this list like the Aloe Vera and Allantoin and Oat Amino acid are already in the EOS Complex but I added a bit more separately in case you're wondering and will continue to add different ingredients into product formulas if I think that boosting up the percentage of the said ingredient will add to the skin care benefits of that particular product.

Great Shaves!

Hmmm you should be able to update in this section of the forum only. We will look at the permissions and see what's up.

I may have read this wrong, but the way I read it is the post shave serum would be something completely different than the skin food correct? I can see your points to having unscented serum for cost and I can see you wanting the serum to match the scents of the soap and skin food. My thought would be since you are already making one serum unscented, then the other serum would benefit from matching the soap scent and skin food for those customers that want all 3 to match. For those that just want the soap and skin food to match and experience the benefits of the serum then they have the option of buying the one that is unscented. I don't know if that is the question you were asking, but that is how I read it.
Thanks for the updates Frank! It is really nice when someone doesn't just tease us with the phrase "I'll have more tomorrow" @Cvargo 😁

You nailed it exactly! Yes the Post Shave Serum will still contain the EOS Complex like the Skin Food splash as I found a way to emulsify the water based EOS Complex into the oil based Post Shave Serum so a double dose of benefits lol. Also yes you get it right I want to offer in the Pure Collection all products in unscented for reasons that some folks are just plain sensitive or allergic to certain scents and also with a product like the Skin Food splash and the Post Shave Serum a person could actually add a scent of their choice. In the case of the Skin Food splash it could be a EO, Fragrance oil or even a few sprays of a favorite cologne. So it's flexible as well. With that said I'd personally like to match up the Post Shave Serums to the Shave Soaps and Skin Food splashes. This way there is either a 2 or a 3 step system that would probably benefit a lot of shavers depending on their skin type. An as far as scent goes all 3 would match up. I'm gonna put together the Lavender Post Shave Serum as soon as the Lavender EO arrives from France and I'll probably work on getting the unscented put together very soon and when my bottle reducers get here as I just looked at my stock and I need a lot more than I have as I didn't count on making the Post Shave Serum right away.

(y)🙂

That sounds great Frank! Personally, I like matching scents from soap, to AS, to cologne, so all three products matching would definitely appeal to me. Also reading a few of the members journals, I can confidently say I am not alone in liking my scents to match.

Sweet! Also you don't have to just work out of this thread. You can create new threads specific to individual topics within your area. Might make it easier to organize. Your choice obviously

Chris was trying to explain that to me the other night when we talked on the phone and I guess I have to figure just how to do that... when it comes to websites and tech stuff I'm definitely not a frontrunner! LOL
