That's shave wasn't nearly as bad as your jokes, which I loved because I also make horrendous jokes. I'm looking forward to hearing about your progress with the Weck...Sextoblade.

It seemed like there was a good amount of blood to me. Maybe not like a massacre, but definitely more than I like...that is for sure! Thanks John...again...for allowing us to test the waters on this razor!
Okay...like I said in my journal...this probably should have been the shave I videoed. Definitely more blood this time around as I caught my right cheek and in that crease at the corner of the nose and just before the mustache area. I would love to say that I caught the skin with the corner of the blade as I completely disregarded the...well...I disregarded the guard. But, the slices were a little long to catch with the corner and was just a complete dig in of the blade. I will say, that I thought I was going to have a pretty decent pass with the razor...until I didn't. I do think this has the capability of being a good shaver...just not today.

A relatively nice Wed shave with the Weck. Everything started off well. I even kept the guard on this time even though it is a bit awkward. I guess with more time I could get used to it. one of the spots that I cut myself from the last shave is still a bit tender, so I decided to be careful and shave around it. Still only a one passer as I really need more experience with straights...and stretching. I think I have said it before...I suck at stretching the skin. Even for the one pass, the places where I shaved evenly was able to cut through this wire haired brush that I call a beard and get really smooth on the skin. I can definitely see where the appeal is to shave with something like this where you don't have the continual maintenance of an actual straight razor. Like I said...all in all I had a pretty decent shave. Finished off with a couple passes of the Progress and all was well in the dangerverse. I did slightly catch myself a couple times with the Weck...but it wasn't anything that a little styptic, witch hazel, and aftershave couldn't handle!
Haven't decided if I want another go with this either tomorrow or Friday. But the Weck will likely be on it's way in a Flying V formation to @bentheduck on Saturday!

@dangerousdon I don't stretch skin near enough either but I'm trying to work on it. Nice write up !
Thanks Dave! I am definitely not a master at all. It is an area of shaving I would like to get better at though!
I'd be fine with Don hanging onto it for another few days off he's keen on it and if John is cool with it.

Sounds like Don is on the right track. It may sound silly but try a shave without the blade but ise the guard. This allows you to practice the angles without the danger.

I appreciate the thought guys. But I have a lot going on right now and I just assume getting it out sooner rather than later. I always get my boxes out...but sometimes I get causght up and they go out a week later than planned.
And John...that is a great idea! I might try that tonight!
