TV Shows

Watching Titans on HBO MAX between late feedings. It's a lot better than I expected. Pretty good stuff.

Deutschland 83 - very good, though not as good as The Americans
Deutschland 86 - good, not as good as 83.

Last couple episodes of Mandalorian...amazing! For a TV show coming out of a franchise that’s had a lot of rollercoaster press/reception lately, this series seems like a sure thing to bank on.

Sad there’s only a couple more episodes left in the season! I don’t know if I can wait another year for more!

Loved the first season and I’ve been dying to start this season. The wife wants to wait u Tik they’re all released so we can binge watch it....not sure if I can wait that long, or continue to successfully avoid spoilers!

"Queens Gambit" on Netflix was binge worthy.
Yes, we binged it a week or so ago. I really wanted to see it, and Amber was so-so on it, but after the first episode we were both hooked. Really well done!

The Boys on Prime.
Saw the first episode about a year ago and thought meh. Started again and am hooked and halfway through second season.
Reminds me slightly of Orphan Black but with less character development, better effects, more humour, worse accents, much more swearing and infinitely more gore.

On my 3rd episode of Tales From The Loop on Amazon. Really simple, almost vintage feeling sci-fi stories, all loosely related for an ever growing “bigger” picture. So far so good!

Supposedly based of some written short stories, though I’ve never looked into or read them as of yet.

I amend that...they’re based on paintings not short stories! Simon Stålenhag.

It came out last year on FX, but for some reason I didn't watch it. But yesterday while watching the Danger Kid...I watched "A Christmas Carol." It has some pretty good acting with Guy Pearce as Ebenezer Scrooge, Andy Serkis as Ghost of Christmas Past, Stephen Graham as Jacob Marley, and some others. It is a MUCH darker version of Dickens' tale, as if the original was comedy. And it takes some liberties...but I think it is all done in the spirit of the story. There was really only one acting issue that I had, but I won't go into that here.

Anyway, if you have a chance to check it out...do so. You can watch it on Hulu or you can check out FX's streaming channel. Otherwise I think it plays again on FX Christmas Eve.

Great artist! Love his work. I enjoyed the Loop series but would have preferred that they brought "The Electric State" to the small screen.

It’s happening! Sister show to Mandalorian and within the same timeline! 😳

Wow...they just announced multiple additional series for Disney+ on top of this - Rangers of the New Republic, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a new animated series Star Wars: Bad Batch, Star Wars: Visions animated shorts, a Star Wars: Andor, and a Willow series!

I don’t what to say! I don’t know if this is really good...or really terribly bad lol.
