Another nice and simple shave to kick off the day, even if it was about 3 hours after I got up. Getting ready to head out for a walk with wifey and then do some afternoon reading. I hope to get through my current book this weekend, catch up on my to-do list, and position myself to start the second leg in my financial planning courses.

Single digit temperatures (Celsius) at 6:30am made for a very nice morning but, alas, the shave saw a few weepers that neither lather nor the alum block addressed, so out came Mr.Styptic to roll up his sleeves and get the job done.
A nice breakfast (egg, maple sausage, and coffee) and 11am hour-long walk by the lake was a wonderful way to close out the morning.

The final shave of August was easy-peasy with no strawberries for the last shave on this blade. The month saw 14 SE and 17 DE shaves, with the majority of the month using "Chippy," my vintage boar. I will change up brushes tomorrow to see if I can manage to stick with a single brush for the month.
Laundry will start sometime this afternoon, as we have some running around to do first.

My plans for a late morning shave went askew, as did my attempts at an afternoon one. Early evening it is then! Alas, it was not until after my pre-bedtime shower at 10:30 that I actually managed to shave. I am sure that my vampire shaver friends will be happy, but that was way too late for me.
Tomorrow is another day! And if I can squeeze in my shave in the morning, it should be super duper easy.

A 3:30pm shave today gets me about halfway to back on track for my normal late morning shave schedule. A little blip today but nothing the wee styptic stub couldn't handle.
Now it's time to BBQ some chicken (jerk and normal BBQ) to bring over to our buddies place for supper.

Wifey is more than happy with how yesterday went. Well.... expect for the fact that I made her wear the bright yellow "It's my Birthday!" button all day long, even when at home. LOL
It's Sunday and that means laundry day once more. Excitement galore!!

It's the start of a new week, which means it is also day-1 on a fresh blade. I also switched up razors to go with the slant and everything ended up working out just fine. Around 10C/50F this morning, so it's looking good for a refreshing morning walk.

Yesterday was a BUSY day! I kept saying to myself, "I'll shave soon" and before I knew it, it was time to head out for opening night of the local chess club in which I teach the young'uns ... or should I say "try to teach" LOL Ended up shaving at 11pm after my nightly call with mom.
An early shave today at 8am as another day of running around is lined up and I think I learned my lesson from yesterday. As expected, with around only 9 hours of growth, the shave was quick and easy.
