As expected, a super easy shave today. It was getting tough to squeeze out the cream from the tube, so I cut it open today (it's plastic) to get at it. There might be another 3-4 days left in it.

Bridge this afternoon and chess in the evening! Back into the swing of things!

It's Friday!!! No work for me tomorrow!! Woot!

My noonish shave was more than acceptable, matching the rain we are having. Rain is better than snow and requires MUCH less shovelling.

Yup, yesterday I was right .... no work for me today! Woot x2!!

A late morning shave was just right as I spent the morning lounging around, drinking coffee, and dealing with an unexpected souvenir from Mexico, courtesy of Mr.Montezuma. I suspect the latter is from the Carl Jr pop with ice my wife bought at the airport.

Mr. Monte Z seems to have realized that our household is not all that entertaining a place to hang around in for more than a few days. He seems to have slipped out overnight without evening leaving a thank you note. What a guy. Harumph. But that's okay; he wasn't the most thoughtful guest we have had, so good riddance.

A post-noon shave for me today as my wife up us watching TV most of the night until the wee hours of the morning.

Tis a Monday unlike any other Monday that has ever been. Why? Well, simply put, Jan.29.2024 has not occurred before!

A mid-morning shave has me ready for a lunch with our walking buddies at Swiss Chalet. We were going to do coffee, but my belly and the wall clock were the inspiration for the change in plans.

The second last shave of the month is once again with my Graydog silvertip, the brush I have used 100% so far this year. I'll pick something different on Thursday.

Another nice and easy shave with the injector, as the Gillette Pure cream delivered its last shave today. On to a partial tube of Nivea cream starting tomorrow.
 
Finished up my Gillette Pure cream this morning after about 3 months of daily shaves. While it is more than functional and lathers easily, it still had that strange chemical scent and there are so many products in my stockpile that there is no need for me to repurchase.

3 months using gross smelling soap that's "functional", that's true commitment to being the group's Mr Meh.

"Maybe I should bin this and fish another soap out of the grab bag.... meh"

24 Injector shaves and 7 cart shaves this month, all accompanied by my Graydog silvertip. The Nivea cream is a solid non-nonsense performer and might actually be as good as Palmolive's cream.

Tomorrow, I switch over to my Paragon synth, a 25 mm knot with their BLS-1 wooden handle. Paragon doesn't get a lot of exposure on the forums, but it is a solid build albeit on the pricier side of many synths.

The month start off with the Paragon BLS-1 synthetic brush (a 25mm black knot), a 12:30pm shave, and 30 mins of yoga/stretching. Off to bridge shortly and the chess club in the evening!

A wonderful morning today as the sun is shining and the coffee is good!

Bridge and chess were fun yesterday, and we had a late morning 30 minute yoga/stretching workout before I grabbed a noon-ish shave. We will meet up with some friends at a local mall for coffee and some num-nums to close off the (non)work week.
