I need to upgrade my machine as well. Gonna give this one a serious look.Just upgraded my grinder to the DF54. just thought this group should know. I've been kicking with a Breville Smart Grinder Pro for a few years but its time to get one that is more suited for my espresso needs. Also, I added the Turin H63 hand grinder as well for some versatility.
This rabbit hole is just as deep as shaving so I need to make sure my costs are kept at bay.

I really enjoy using the OXO Rapid Brewer. That one will likely become my go-to travel brewer. At home I normally bounce between it and and AeroPress. I brewed via pour-over for years. Still have my Chemex. Need to break it back out again. Occasionally I'll break out the Vietnamese Phin Filter brewer or my Bialetti Mokha Pot.Happy to provide my opinions on it as well. I also did a comparison against the Turin SD40S vs DF54 since I was able to snag both at reasonable prices.
For context, I primarily use my Gaggia Classic Pro for espresso and do americanos, cortados or flat whites - depending on mood. Also picked up an OXO Rapid Brewer (I see that u rock one as well) and I love using it with the medium light to light roast beans to extract those delicate notes. The things it did for one of my light roast was literally mind blowing. For pour overs, I have my trusty Chemex as well which always provides a nice clean aesthetically pleasing brew.
So do you have a preference between the OXO and AP? I haven't gotten an AP and solely got the OXO to create "soup" shots with my light roast to extract those crazy delicate notes. Its a game changer for sure! I do realize I prefer the OXO with medium light and light roasts.
