Thank you guys. I got to mom’s early enough to go through the bills and get them paid before going to lunch. She seemed to enjoy the day.

And yes Jeff. Greyson is settling in nicely. He’s turning into a real buddy for sure.

Monday mornings are rough for me. I feel like I need another day to recover from the weekend. Today was no exception. My pup, Greyson, and I knocked out a pretty quick mile this morning. I was able to enjoy a cup of coffee while he ate his breakfast. After running through my open comb razors this month, I really wanted to play with some of my newer shave additions. I have used this Pearl Flexi just once. This is a modern homage to the Gibs adjustable razor. It is plated brass and heavy. The shave today was smooth and efficient. I can feel the extra heft of this razor during the shave. I want to get a few more shaves in with the Flexi before comparing it to the Rex Ambassador or Denali. Put I can say I am impressed with the quality of the razor given the price point. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

I sold the RA and had sellers remorse so I bought another from Razor Emporium with a great coupon code. I got a chance to buy the Denali and took it. They are very similar but very different at the same time. I will compare all three once I have dialed in Flexi and Denali.

I’ll be very interested in your thoughts about the Denali. As you know, I really like my RA, but have been quite curious about the Denali. I know @jmudrick is a big fan of his. What I like about the RA is the tremendous range it provides between setting 1 and 6. I really like dome shaving with the RA at 6 because of the tremendous blade feel it provides.

Tuesday already. I am working from home this morning. At least I am trying to work. Let's just say I am somewhat unmotivated today. Greyson is beneath my desk asleep. He is not a fan of leaf blowers at all. I can't say I like them that much either.

Back with the Pearl Flexi loaded with a fresh Feather blade today. I reached for A&E Bad Habits this morning. The scent of this soap is simply amazing. It is a very rich barbershop type scent that opens up with woody citrus notes. I often get positive comments when I use this soap and aftershave paired with Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT. I dialed the Flexi up to 3 for the shave today. It was smooth and uneventful. The razor has a moderate amount of blade feel thus far and really is a pleasure to use. I am looking forward to using this razor some more. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Every time you post pics of that Paladin beehive I end up wiping drool off my keyboard (at least I hope that is why...), Clint. Simply stunning!

Happy Hump Day everyone. I decided to change things up and go with the Denali razor this morning. This razor is very similar to the Rex Ambassador. Both razors were developed in a team setting. However, the Razor Emporium wanted the razor to have more blade feel while the Denali was designed to be smoother. The blade locating tabs on the Ambassador are on the top blade while they are on the bottom plate. Personally I prefer them on the top plate but its not that big of deal. The shaves between the two are very to me thus far. Overall a great shave this morning. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Glad you’re enjoying the Denali, Clint! I enjoy blade feel a lot. Sounds like my RA is the right razor for me.
 
That is one fine razor! My hope, and I believe this is a place that we can share our dreams, is that one day, since it is made of brass - that they release a version in the natural brass color - It is already a sweet razor - and I’d think it would also look cool in a brass with patina

Off to work at a client site for the day. I just love commuting in Atlanta rush hour while its raining. Not! At least I was able to get in a great shave before leaving the house. The shave was uneventful which is the best kind for me. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
