Chris, I am an Accountant. We are a small boutique accounting firm. My primary role is as a consultant acting as an outsource CFO. My clients generally have a solid book keeping staff but do not need a full time CFO but they have our firm for the times that one is needed. This is usually at month end, quarter end or year end. My biggest gig has me onsite several times a week. They are unique in that for the year end close, they distribute 100% of the earnings and basically zero out the company. Then each partner funds the company pro rata in the new year. Very strange setup but it works for them. For me it makes year end a nightmare trying to hit a moving target up until the last minute.
