The Heysi Missive

Every hockey fan young and old loves the Zamboni and wants to ride/drive it. But I'm convinced, it's all in the name. It it was called something mundane like ice refresher or ice resurfacer, nobody would care....
So true!

I always imagine The Marx Brothers trailing behind doing a schtick.

Based on the past few posts (and @August West 's unintended suggestion), I may need to start a series about the girls I've dated throughout high school. I'm sure my experiences are not atypical but I'm not afraid to peel back the layers of the onion that is my life for your mockery enjoyment. Let me spend some time in my sound-proof memory chamber and I'll dredge the beach of Redondo for some hilarious good tidbits.

I’m already subscribed.

My high school life was rather less adventurous being as it was an all boy's school; think of a prison. The chances of meeting some fluff were limited to the bus stop after school, where the girl's school would empty. They taught me how to swear!

Non-shave journal entry:

Went to see Sir Elton John last night on the Vegas stop of his Farewell tour. He puts on a great show. Plays all the hits (well, he didn't play my wife's favorite song, Daniel, or my favorite, Honky Cat). His band is amazing. Half of them have been with him since the 1970's. Was a bit strange to see a 6-member backing band and 3 of them are playing percussion!

Also got the chance to go to Allegiant stadium (where the Raiders play). It's a beautiful building. Great sound and plenty of good sightlines. I sat in the upper deck area around what would have been the 40-yard line during a game and I would have been able to see all the action. Also they had local craft beer in cans and they were cheaper than the big blands. So score for the people that like local beer. Now we just need to figure out a way to stop the children that paid for a seat to a concert and spent the entire time taking selfies. I wanted to reach over and take his phone away and chuck it. The attention span on these kids.

We saw him in Vegas was well. I think he was in Ceasar's for a long while?
