Monday and a new week awaits. A lovely weekend and a pleasant and quiet Sunday in the company of family was had at Villa Somnos. Got time to visit with Dad too so it was a good one all around. However, no shaves since Friday! Well we can’t be all buff all the time can we?!
Today I wanted to try out a new blade in the AS-D2 and went with a Gillette Nacet which I find a tad sharper than the GSB or Platinum but just as smooth. So with a fresh blade loaded and my Paladin Sumo in hand we were good to go.
Also today I decided to move up the schedule on CBL Dragons Blood which after consulting the oracle and @DaveinKY (they are the same person) I decided to grab it. Now it is quite a mysterious scent with a whole bunch of sweet goodness in it and it is a lather bomb. I loaded way too long but I made use of every little bit of that lather!
No secrets here I love me a matching AS for every soap but my time here and the other place has led my sniffer down the path of being able to pick out the base notes in things and making some pretty good matches on the fly. But here is a secret if you have any floral, woody, herbaceous like smelling soap you need to match...Myrsol Aqua Balsamica is my Ace in the hole. I got it in a pif years ago along with a Simpson Wee Scot and have loved both ever since. Most folks don’t get on with it because it is a busy scent but it will match that odd soap on dry down and it as an AS is excellent.
So on through four luxurious passes I went this morning and the dolphins, angels, my cat...all weep at the joy that is the DBBS of my face. I am not kidding! Man, was that a good one! Slapped some MAB on and grabbed some English Laundry EDP to match and man....nuff said. Enjoy your Monday and the week! Stay safe!
