So nice to get back the razor rotation but I didn’t want too crazy a change so the Karve CB with the B SB plateloaded with a fresh Personna Lab Blue. Perfectly mild and wonderful.

Wonderful three pass BBS shave! Enjoyed a lovely visit with @woodpusher grabbed some fresh tomatoes and dropped off his Feather AS-D2. Off to small family BBQ. Enjoy your Sunday cadre!

Well I called an audible today and instead of going with what I had laid out I picked up the Feather AS-D2 instead and changed everything else too. Guess watching @BarberDave Sunday shave and reading about @woodpusher experience yesterday gave me the “Feather Fever”. So with a fresh Kai SS in it I went about the morning shave.

Soap of the day B&M Seville. Just an amazing barbershop scent and I could easily just use this soap for the rest of my days but what fun would that be. Variety is what it is all about however, it is an exceptionally good scent and soap.

Not a lot of time today but I got in a lovely two pass DFS! Topped it off with some AdP Essenza which is a perfect match to the Seville and we are good to go.

The Kai blade is stiffer and though quite sharp it is so much smoother than the Feather blade. In the AS-D2 it is mild but it just mows down the stubble with no issues at all. Will revisit this blade and razor combo again soon. She is a temptress the AS-D2! Enjoy your shaves Cadre!

SE September perhaps a bit late to the party but hey why not! To kick off this month of SE goodness I chose an often overlooked SE in the iKon El Jefe. It is an “adjustable” SE...which means you have to fiddle with blade to allow it to sits as far back from the guard as possible or...there will be blood. Line it up, tighten it down and you’ll be fine. Loaded up with a Schick ProLine blade.

Stirling soap was on deck as we’ll be doing a combination of SE and Stirling Soaps for the rest of this month (we hope). Agar is a fantastic Oud scent. Many Oud scents out there and this is a bit sweeter than some but I truly enjoy it.

Lovely three pass shave and BBS achieved! Now it’s no “General” and you have to work with this razor because if you don’t fiddle with the blade adjustment you will be treated to a face peeling. Matching Agar AS and a lovely spritz of Guerlain Oud Essentiel. Yup, it’s El Jefe but so am I. Have a good one Cadre!

I’ve got one of them “adjustable” iKons too! Not too shabby for the price range! Still not entirely sure of its mystery metal composition though...

You know Chris as I was rinsing everything off today I was thinking the same thing! It is slippery and coated in something but it’s on the “dubious” side of stainless steel...meh, I seem to have sorted out the blade adjustment issues and got a really nice shave out of it today. I have four SEs so over the next month they will be busy and dialled in.

Well there has been much discussions round Summer vs Fall scents but I was in the mood for Sandalwood and today was the day for that. Proraso Red was on deck and so a little into the lather bowl and the Simpson 59 whipped a nice lather to get the Sunday shave underway.

Razor of choice today was the 1956 Gillette Red Tip SS though originally it was to be a SE. Oh well I love the Red Tip and loaded up with Personna Lab it is super smooth. Great combo today and I am happy I reached for it.

Lovely three pass BBS shave achieved and topped off with the range of Blackstone Sandalwood products and some Guerlain Santal Royal. Sandalwood Sunday! Hope you’re enjoying the long weekend!
