Nice shave and appreciate the thoughts on the Dart
Oh Dave it is a hell of a razor, looks great and shaves better! It isn’t a daily driver in my opinion and I have used my R41 for that function but never past two passes. This was a dream over three but you better have some finesse to your game if you know what I am sayin!

Another travel shave and as such a reduced kit but still exceptional. Today’s ritual fell to the Timeless Stainless Steel OC .95. This one with the scalloped top cap and the very nice and grippy knurled handle. Now I use to think that aggression meant blade gap but that is indeed not the case. I have a Blackland Dart that has almost no gap and is far more aggressive than this .98. This razor is not also beautiful and perfectly balanced but as smooth a shaver as they come. I truly enjoyed the shave and the sweet spot is intuitive.

Today’s soap was Italian Barber Amici and the lovely citrus scent was in sharp contrast to to the grey and rainy day. Oh well it was Summer in the bathroom. Lovely scent!

Lathered up with the Yaqi Sagrada Familia and proceed to get through a lovely two pass DFS! On the road so no need to chase BBS though I must say it would have been a piece of cake with this combo! Halfway through the week and to all the road monkeys out there...take care, safe travels and happy shaves all.

Well the road trip comes to an end and we have time to squeeze in one more shave as we pack up the gear and roll it home. The Timeless SS OC .95 was great on Wednesday so I decided to follow it up with the 34G. I know, 2 razors on a road trip? Yup!

The Palmolive shave stick is a great travel buddy and does the job pretty well. Much smaller than a comparable Tabac shave stick and quite a bit more affordable. Sad they are no longer being produced in the UK...(tear). Fresh out the shower and with a warm towel on the face and the Palmolive SS just glides on. The Yaqi SF whipped it all up into a nice lather which was more than enough for a three pass shave.

Smooth, smooth and smooth! Finished it off with some Nivea balm and we are good to go. Packed up, checked out and released the crew. Time for some breakfast and home to Villa Somnos! Take care, safe travels and happy shaves all!

So today I reached for the Mergress which is always a favourite of mine, just love the weight and balance. Loaded with the ever smooth Voskhod and we are always good to go.

Today’s soap was new to me CBL Soaps - Barbershop and what a great soap it was! The scent is just about the best barbershop I have smelt in a long time, as good as B&M Seville just a tad less sweet with a bit of a nuttiness to it...I know that’s weird eh? Well that’s what I smell anyway and scents are always subjective but what isn’t is performance and this soap kills it in that department! Easy to lather and slick! Loaded too much and it pained me to let some go but I only had time for a 2 pass shave and quite a DFS it was!

Lovely scent, lovely shave and finished off with some Clubman! Oh yeah! Happy Monday and happy shaves all!

That's a beautiful razor. It amazes me how many different brands there are, particularly premium brands.

I have a shorty Progress also and I love it in fact, as adjustables go, I really enjoy the Progress and I have Fatboys, Slims etc. The Mergress is just a much more refined Progress but if you can’t spare the extra coin...Progress all the way.
