The bottom of a tub

Le Cannele. It is actually more like a small dessert cup. A little taller than a custard cup and with better lines. I now use it to eat blueberries or nuts out of.

That’s what I thought. Back in the day, some folks referred to it as a butter dish. The open wood bowl of MdC was called a Brain Bowl.

I liked the MdC so much that I did a few rotations with my old staples after it was done just to ensure the other soaps would be used but I start a Brain Bowl tomorrow and we know how long that will last.

I think the brain bowl has the same amount of soap as the jar, and I’m curious to hear how long it lasts compared to the Cannele.

Are there any other soap manufacturers making a product comparable to the brain bowl in terms of presentation?

It is marked as 200 grams which should be exactly the same. Somehow it looks larger but it is hard to tell how thick the wooden bowl is. I expect to know how long it lasts around October of next year.

The Brain Bowl had its appeal because MdC recommends not covering the soap and since it won’t travel there is no need for a top. (The Le Cannele was the first soap I left uncovered since I returned to wet shaving.)

I also suspect that like the Cannele it will yield a great many shaves with little perceived use and then go much quicker as the bottom of the container narrows. image.jpg

That’s a thing of beauty.

*Whoomp!* There it is!

My Mama Bears Bay Rhum is done! As always, Mama Bears provides a great lather for me; if yours is too airy and bubbly, you simply need to load more product to get the creamy goodness that comes with soaps often much more expensive.

Up next is ~1/2 tub of Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations Doc Holiday.
