The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

Today was my last use of the General. A nice final shave. I wouldn't mind owning one, and I hope one finds it's way to me someday, but really, my Mongoose will suffice in its absence. Going to be sending it to Don tomorrow.

I'm continuing my use of Christmas/Winter Themed soaps up until Christmas day. Here is what I've used so far:

17th - CBL Soap: Christmas Memories
18th - Saint Charles Shave: Jack Frost
19th - Barrister & Mann: First Snow
20th - Mystic Water: Poggio dei Pini ("Hill of Pines")
21st -
22nd -
23rd -
24th -
25th -

....Christmas/Winter Themed soaps....
What are the ones waiting in the wings?

BTW, regarding the Oz Winter scent: I know you mentioned the peppermint, but looking at their website description, along with the peppermint, it lists amber, vanilla, ginger, orange, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Are those other notes discernable?

Great idea KJ. How'd the pine scent smell on that MW? I actually don't mind a pine smell so long as it doesn't smell like Pine Sol

You'll have to tune in to see.

I don't recall what other notes stuck out. Peppermint is definitely in front. Jump in the Oz Shaving Soap Sample pass if you want to try them.

It's an amazing pine scent. Pretty much a straight pure pine, like walking through a pine forest. CBLs Three Pines is also an amazing Pine scent if that's what you like. It's a tad sweeter than MW's.

I’m kind of in recovery mode as I got some irritation under my chin during my General/Mongoose tests. So I used my 34C for a quick 2 pass shave.

i think after my chin heals up I will start a new test, and compare my Rockwell 6S and 6C razors, side by side like I just did for the General/Mongoose.

21st - Captain’s Choice: North

How was it going back to the 34c after so long? Feels the same?
Actually felt a little rougher than I remember, but It may have been the blade. I pulled a lightly used blade out of another razor rather than getting a new one. I see where you're going with this..... time will tell.

The sweeter pine sounds inviting. Thanks for giving me your take on it. I may just have to get a sample of that one.

Nice shave and set up, KJ. I haven't tried North yet, but CC soaps are excellent performers.

Nothing much to report today except for a stellar shave with a great scent: Oz Shaving Co Winter!

Headed to ring the bell for the Salvation Army today, I just love doing that. We’re in front of Walmart, so it’s great people watching, in addition to supporting a great cause.

Nice set up KJ, I’m looking forward to my turn with the Oz pass around so I can get a whiff of Winter.

Hope the bell ringing went well tonight. I was in Philly with the family tonight and we saw quite a few Salvation Army setups. I wondered how well that does nowadays since a lot of people don’t carry cash on them anymore.
