The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

I wondered how well that does nowadays since a lot of people don’t carry cash on them anymore.

You’d be surprised. I’d say about 15-20% of the people who pass me donated something. Most give change or a buck or two. But lots of ones do add up! But a surprising number of folks drop 5s and 10s in. Today, I had a 20 and one guy put a 50 in the pot! I was blown away.

A 50?!? Wow that’s awesome!

You'll love it, and it's a perfect scent for the day!

It has been a very somber morning for me. As most of you know, yesterday we learned that our dear friend, and TSC Vendor, Susan Smith of Honeybee Soaps, had passed away.

I have ave been a big fan of her soaps since I first discovered them about 7-8 years ago. Since then, they have always been a part of my den.

Based on on a few recent orders, we had been in contact over email over the past several months. She shared with me some of her health issues and and her concerns about upcoming surgeries. I myself had some upcoming surgeries, and we connected over it.

I had not really heard much from her after her surgeries, except her posting that things were looking up. John, had indicated that she had been unresponsive to emails, and that gave me concern. Chad indicates to me that he was going to look for obituaries, just in case, and I decided to do the same. My fears were confirmed when I found her obituary. Chad was able to connect a few dots to confirm it was her.

It didn’t really sink in for me until this morning when I did a shave in remembereance of her. I used her bath soap, shave soap, and I applied her body butter as an aftershave balm. I filmed the Shave for my VLOG, but did the shave in complete silence, just reflecting as I shaved.

Now, afterwards, I’m still in a mood. It’s one of those things. I wish I knew her better. I wish I had been able to meet her. But just glad I knew her at least a little bit on the personal side. We live in an online shaving world, and you never really know, no matter how much we share, how well you know the person on the other side of the keyboard.

I consider myself lucky to have placed a huge order recently of shave and bath soaps, and have enough of both to last me a very long time. I will cherish them all, and will think of her every time I use them.

She passed on 4 Dec 18. Rest In Peace Sue.

Nice remembrance shave and thoughts KJ. Will watch video tomorrow as I'm out the door again now to an Anniversary party for friends 50th

I haven't watched the shave yet. But just reading it, I agree with every word you said. Every interaction I had with her was positive. And it is truly disheartening, that she passed so young.

Very nice remberance KJ! Sad to hear about Sue passing away, she seemed like a really nice person and she will be missed. Will have to bust out the Honeybee samples here in the next few days.

Friday. That is when the Cadre is coming together in remembrance, and using Her soaps in her honor.

Here are my shaves for the last two days. My first time using my new GD soaps. Elan is a Vegan Formula, and Chyphre Conifere is a Donkey Milk formula. I can't tell the difference between them. Both are excellent. Slickness is out of this world! I didn't think anything could ever provide Williams level slickness, but these do, possibly even more slick than Williams??

Elan is a great Juniper and Pine scent, really well blended. It's not overly sweet as juniper can be (CC North), because the pine needle scent tempers it perfectly.

Chyphre Conifere is an awesome scent and is a great blend. What I get from it is citrus, ambergris, pine, and woody notes. Just amazing scent. I'm so glad I have both of these.

I do not consider these to be elite, but definitely Tier 1.

I'm testing out the Rockwell 6C. First plate 3, then 4. So far I'm finding the shave to be very slick as the smooth cap glides really well compared to the matte finish on the 6S.I've also read a few folks say that the 6C is more aggressive than the 6S. So far, I'd have to disagree, and almost feel it swings the other way. I'll have to do a side by side to really compare them.

I’ve heard similar reviews stating the 6C is slightly more aggressive than the 6S. I only have the 6C which I really enjoy so far so I can’t comment. What I heard was that the 6C was basically one plate more aggressive. In other words, plate 1 on C is more like 2 on the S, 2 on the C would be 3 on the S and so on.

That's what many say but I've commented before that I see no difference to actually the reverse I believed due to the lighter head. Glad to see I'm not nuts and KJ saw similar results so far.
