Hey all! Sorry for the absence. I have a lot going on in life right now. Plus my health goals currently are not exactly lining up with weight loss. My top priority right now is building strength. And so far I have been very successful.

I have some long winded posts over in the "Don's Healthy Community" thread. But the TLDR of it all is...GAINZ!!! No seriously though. My program is doing me well. Not only am I seeing a significant increase in strength...but I am seeing some pretty good body re-composition. Wish the belly would go down a bit more...but that will come soon enough. Right now focusing on strength.

So...what have been my GAINZ! Check it out!

Starting Weights - Feb 2023

Squat - 135
Overhead Press - 85
Bench Press - 115
Deadlift - 135

What I did yesterday (or the previous lift - not all exercises get done each lift day)

Squat - 350
Overhead Press - 110 (I am in a de-load process on my press, but just prior I was lifting 130)
Bench Press - 195
Deadlift - 300

Mind you...these are not 1 Rep Maximums. These are my working sets. 3 sets of 5 reps.

Sure, I need to improve my numbers on these...but these are significant GAINZ!!! And I am super proud of what I am accomplishing.

Anyone else doing any other sort of exercise to compliment their diets? Walking, rucking, playing sports, lifting weights, yoga, Pilates, MMA, Jazzercise? Let's hear about it. Don't care if you walk to the mailbox and back...I want hear what your doing and maybe share some goals with the rest of us!

I'm mainly rock climbing. I was a serious climber 1970-1989 and slowly started getting back into it a little over three years ago. It's a great incentive for strength, flexibility AND weight loss. Climbs that I thought of as 'on the easy side of difficult' back when, now seem impossible. :LOL: Having a great time exploring my old stomping grounds and revised abilities.
