This sounds like terrific progress. What does “fatherless shave cream” mean? I haven’t heard of that expression before.I've been shaving g with a Gillette skin guard and can of original barbasol for awhile eith a assist from the Nurse that helping me, but today finally did a 1 pass shave with Barbasol 1919 fatherless shave cream and this Parker Solo edge. Working my way back up to full DE 3 pass. Then planning on getting back to my Tedalus Essence and straight razors when I'm able.
That’s a good looking razor.Henson ++ with Treet Classic Carbon steel blade .
Tha k you, I consider it pretty mold, has a decent grip to handle. Like Ohio Shaves says in his youtube videos. If you don't get angle right it usually won't cut. Had a very tight angle tolerance. Little to no blade chatter. Very light. I actually prefer heavier razors. My go to DE is my Rockwell 6s or Rockwell T2.That’s a good looking razor.
I also prefer a heavier razor. I love my 1940s Aristocrat. I like its weight and feel.I actually prefer heavier razors. My go to DE is my Rockwell 6s or Rockwell T2.
Sounds as though you’re making great progress, BG.Tried a Straight razor shave today with my Tedalus Essence replaceable blade. 1 pass, but got a few nicks. 1 pretty good 1 on my nose bridge and a few on my neck where I have more wrinkles. Switched to my Rockwell 6s to finish. Seems like my muscle memory needs retrained. Coordination is a bit off, but not by much. Surprised how fast it's all coming back though. Physical therapy definitely helping getting stronger every day.
How did it do?Finished off with the Colorlamb Forester Series Portable Safety Razor(folding Pocket knife style)
Glad to hear of your continued progress, BG. Be well. Finally back to 2 handed shaves, took 3 times as long to do compared before accident in August, but definitely progressing.
