Placed a beautiful 5/8 Jernbolaget Swedish razor into a new set of Stabilized Spalted Maple with a CA finish and nickel silver pins. The outdoor light is unable to capture the epic glossyness of these scales. It’s like they are coated in glass(16 coats of CA).

Beautiful work! Jernbolaget is my favorite Swedish razor maker, and they are a pain to find at a decent price. There is nothing that can match a CA finish, so my imagination is filling in the gloss.

Those look nice.I need to find some blades that need new scales so I can try my hand at making some scales..... I have a few ideas about some materials I would like to try and see how they might work out....

I felt inspired to work on a set of scales this evening for this Jernbolaget Swedish Straight razor. The razor still needs polished, but will be finished up soon.

Made from Stabilized Spalted Maple, I plan on finishing them with a bunch of coats of CA.

I actually found my Jernbolaget wedge when I accidentally typed it wrong in the search bar. The seller had listed it under the same mis-typed name.
