No shave today as I was still very close (DFS) from yesterday’s great shave. But I did spend a lot of time thinking about our veterans and all that they do. Especially the ones closest to me.

It’s been so long since I’ve been to my own journal that the site brought me all the way back to first page when I opened it!
I know I’ve been MIA for a while(I’ve been lurking though, but I wanted to pop in and wisheveryone a very Merry Christmas!
Shave Time! The X-Mas Edition!
Razor: Black handle Super Speed
Blade: Feather
Brush: Stirling Synthetic
Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man
AS: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man
This Christmas my shave was full of Stirling! The Sharp Dressed Man is probably my favorite scent. A take on Creed Green Irish Tweed (which I’m sure you all already knew lol!), I’ve only smelled a few different versions but Stirling’s is very good. I’ve never smelled the original so I can’t say how well it stands up to that, but I dig it!
This Super Speed has my daily driver for the last few weeks. Just getting superb shaves out of it, so I’ve been it exclusively. It just works for me
The brush was a gift from @Cvargo and it did not disappoint! Stirling’s stuff is just quality all around. Maybe tomorrow I’ll go full Stirling with my Stirling DE...
In Other News....
Work has been very busy. Still waiting to hear about the promotion. I was told it’s very likely to be approved by everyone, but won’t go into affect until after the new year. It would still be nice to know what’s going on instead of waiting and not knowing lol. Hopefully soon!

Little man took a turn for the worse a few weeks back....but now he’s back to terrorizing the couch pillows again!!!! We had him getting Magna-Wave treatments 3 times a week for a few weeks and he was on strict rest. He seems to back to his normal and is feeling good. He’s also been terrorizing his feline brother and sister. Yeah, he’s feeling good lol. He also hates his Christmas sweater:

Blade: Derby Premium (2)
Brush: @Techichi The Tech Hive Synthetic
Soap: Razorock Blue Fougere
AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue Sport
Second shave on the Derby Premium and it’s business as usual. I really like this blade and will probably end up grabbing more at some point.
The Yuma/DP combo makes for a very smooth shave, but as I noted in the Feb. Blade Challenge thread, it might be just a bit too mild for me. I guess a few more shaves will give me a better idea.
The Hive synthetic by Tech (an awesome gift from my Rudolph buddy!) is an awesomely comfortable brush. The knot whips up a great lather, and the handle is perfect in my hand. I’ve been using this one a lot the last few weeks.
In Other News...
The promotion stuff at work has been finalized* at last. The asterisk is there because it won’t go into effect until Feb. 9th. So after almost 4 months of waiting, it’s finally done*. Ive already begin to take over the role, while staying in my current role, so I’ve been more than busy. The next week or so should see me transitioning completely out of my old position and into the new one. So that will mean my own office, and plenty of time to lollygag (any Bruce Campbell fans here?). So hopefully that means more Cadre time! I really miss you guys so it’ll be great to be back in the mix!

Little man is doing very well! He has his days where has a hard time getting around, but for the most part he seems to be feeling pretty good. I think the MagnaWave treatments my sister-in-law was giving him really helped him. We plan on keeping him on a monthly treatment plan as a kind of maintenance program.
