Shave Time!

The "I shaved a bunch of times since my last entry and forgot what I used" Edition:

Today's shave:

Razor:
Rockwell 6C Plate 4
Blade: Parker
Brush: TSC 1st Anniversary Sorrentino Cashmere "Nola"
Soap: Oz Shaving Co. Wicked
AS: Oz Shaving Co. Wicked

Good shave today. I'm starting to get the touch back again. I"m not sure what was going on the last few weeks. I just kept getting more and more irritation and wasn't getting comfortable shaves. The last few have been much better. Today being the best irritation wise, which means basically none. So I'm back on track there. As usual, the Oz Shaving Co. soap performed great and Wicked is one of my favorite scents. Real crisp and a good "wake-up" scent for a morning shave. I do have one more Stirling scent to use for the theme week, I'll pull that one out either tomorrow or Saturday.

Both real estate deals are back on track....for now lol. Hopefully they'll both finish out with no issues. I'm now currently trying to come up with some marketing ideas to bring in some new clients.

Willie World:

Willie is not happy with the rain we're getting today, but this weekend is supposed to be real nice. He's looking forward to napping in the sun!

Shave Time!

Ok, not going to go through and list my gear for the last few shaves because....I don't really remember lol. I wasn't really paying too much attention as we had a lot going on this past weekend and I've been really busy with work. I'm still way behind on the forum and need to get caught up.

I did learn that I'm getting way better shaves when skipping a day or 2 in between. I think Sunday I shaved after not shaving for 2 days and got possible the best shave I've ever gotten. Definitely BBS (no asterisk required!), no irritation, and it lasted long enough to skip the next day. The following shave wasn't quite as close, but skipping a day really helps with limiting irritation. In my case it has brought it down to pretty much no irritation at all. So this may be a new routine.

Life has been pretty busy so I'm way behind around here, but hopefully it'll slow down soon for a little bit and I can get caught back up! Nothing exciting going on, just the usual stuff.

Willie World:
Willie almost got a new brother the other day....My friend at work found a kitten under his son's car and is trying to find a home. Luckily someone else was able to take him, we don't need anymore animals in our house lol!

Ok guys. I’m trying to get caught up with everyone else’s journals, and that’s become quite the undertaking. I’m far from caught up but I’ll get there.

As far as my shaves go, I ‘ve had far more good ones than bad. I finally got around to trying a Derby Premium and it didn’t disappoint. Might have to invest in some more. Otherwise no new gear...and probably not anything new coming for a little bit. More on that later. I’ve been doing the every other day routine and have been having success with it, but I miss shaving on my off days. I might get back to everyday and really bare down to try to get better daily shaves. That was the goal all along anyway right?

Willie is still living the dream. Spoiled as usual, as are his feline brother and sister. He’s been loving the warm weather.

The other development going on has been my step son getting his license. He’s had his learner’s permit and has gone out with his father and myself, but not enough. Last week we took a ride to the local hardware store and he had an accident...with the side of the store! Everyone is ok and there was really no damage to the store (he actually hit a wooden planter box built onto the side of the store) but he caused over $4,000 in damage to the car! So needless to say he was upset lol. I surprised myself with how well I handled It, obviously I knew a call to the insurance company would be made and they would handle the repairs. But after sitting him down and talking, he admitted that he isn’t ready to get his license and drive on his own yet. In fact, we’ve been going out everyday for at least an hour since, and he’s said he only wants to drive in an empty parking lot for now. I’m totally cool with that. If he’s not ready and is afraid of the car and what it can do, than in my opinion he’s just as dangerous as someone who’s overconfident. Maybe worse. So we’re taking it slow and building his confidence.

Other than that, there’s not much going on. I’ve been enjoying catching up with everyone else here and hope that I can stay caught up for a while lol.

I got a chuckle lol, sorry. You kept your cool though, everyone’s safe, and he learned something...I guess you can’t ask for must more than...oh wait, is going to help pay for the damage? :ROFLMAO:
