Shave Time!

Razor:
Razorock Tech II/Rockwell 6C
Blade: Feather/Personna Platinum (2/3?)
Brush: WWBW Jingle 2 Band Badger
Soap: Wild West Shave Co. Pinkerton
AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Very late update as I had a pretty busy day. Started out the shave with the Tech II but it was leaving me a bit unsatisfied. I can’t really explain why, but it just wasn’t doing it for me. So I grabbed the Rockwell after the first pass and finished the shave. All went well and I ended up DFS+ so I can’t complain.

This was my first experience with Wild West Soap Co. the performance was really good. It didn’t lather quite as easily as some others that I’ve used, but once I got it where I wanted it, it was really nice. Slickness was top notch. Maybe the slickest I’ve ever used. Post shave was pretty good too.

As for the scent, I got a very fresh and clean scent mixed with a hint of sweetness. I don’t think that’s what they were going for since these are the scent notes from the website:
Mahogany, Teakwood, Lavender, Geranium, Cedarwood, Oak.
Either way, this scent isn’t one I would go for a full tub of, but the soap was top notch other wise.

In Other News...
Today’s open house was an interesting one. The property includes a house, a detached garage converted into a separate apartment, and massive steel building that was used as a workshop. The sellers used to run a flower business. So with a decent amount of traffic today, it was tough going between all 3 buildings, but I did get one lead and a potential client. So I’d call it a success!

After the open house, I headed over to the in-laws for my wife’s birthday dinner (her birthday was Friday). The father-in-law cooked up some NY strip steaks, baked potato, shrimp, and king crab legs. Needless to say, I’m stuffed!

Willie World:
Willie wasn’t happy to have to stay home today, but he was thrilled when we came home with steak for his late night snack!

Glad to hear the Wild West worked well for ya Steve! The good thing about this artisan is the soaps are 2oz and they have some interesting scents to choose from.

Lol that Lettuce Fingers dude is creepy as Fk. A friend from high school used to be obsessed with those weird videos.lol
No kidding. I have seen all the episodes out of pure morbid curiosity including the new one that takes it to a whole different level. I was the first one in years

What is it with those upper lip cuts and bloodloss? Slice the side of a lip and no issues .. nail that upper lip in the center and it'll take half a roll of tp just to stop it. Just getting caught up here Steven when I realized I was like two days behind.

I heart your FIL
Me too lol! He definitely spoils us with great food (he's an awesome cook) and top shelf booze!

I know right!?! At one point I got nervous because the blood flow was not slowing down lol. Thought I might need stitches or something!

Living large up there, good stuff!

My wife brought home her leftover ribeye the other night. I thought it would make a great lunch, but the dogs got it. I can’t complain, she takes good care of all of us.

Shave TIme!

Razor:
Rockwell 6c Plate 4
Blade: Parker (1)
Brush: WWBW Jingle 2 Band Badger
Soap: Stirling Spice
AS: Stirling Spice

Swapped out the Personna Platinum for a trusty Parker today. This razor/blade/brush combo could be my desert island set up. BBS and no issues. Love it. The Stirling Spice gave it a nice old school touch, and the scent is strong enough to still be lingering 9 hours later. Not overpowering, but long lasting. Otherwise nothing much to see here folks, just a great shave!

I'm still trying to figure out something to use for my "Alternative Brush" Shave. I want to try to not use anyone else's idea. I have something in mind, but we'll see if I can get my hands on it....

Not much going on this week, a few real estate meetings, but otherwise getting ready for the Spring Training trip.

Willie World:

We were in the 50's this morning, so WIllie was very excited to go out for his morning walk! We're all hoping the cold weather is done and spring is here for good!

Good shave! Glad you’re looking forward to the trip; I’m at that point too with mine. 4 days and counting; time for some R&R.

Oh yeah! We leave in 5. We're vacation buddies! Haha. I'm really looking forward to Baseball, grouper sandwiches, buckets of beer (yes you can buy buckets of beer at the stadium in FL lol), and most of all....NO STRESS!!!!

Shave Time!

Razor:
Yuma
Blade: Parker
Brush: Kingsley Pure Badger
Soap: WSP Barbershop
AS: WSP Barbershop

First shave with the Yuma Razor today. This razor is super light! I know It was mentioned by a few others how light it was, but I didn’t expect it to be this light! I think @Dave in KY said it was made from a cheap pot metal, but it almost feels plastic. The overall look is pretty cool though. The handle design is nice. Overall it’s an extremely mild shaver, maybe milder than my Razorock Tech II. That being said, I think it would make a great travel razor. You don’t really need to worry about doing any damage with this thing so you can get in a quick comfortable shave while on vacation or on a business trip. I’ll have a few more shaves with it, but so far it’s ok.
