I've got to say that the longer I'm wearing the MF..... the more I like it. I really didn't care for it at first splash..... but I'm actually loving the drydown. You can see that typically, I will splash aftershave on my face, and then whatever is left on my hands gets rubbed on my forearms. Today my hands were nearly dry, so I just took a fresh pull off the bottle and put that on my arms. This way I can just smell my arm to test longevity and scent wear. I've been smelling my arms all morning, as I'm really, really digging it. It's weird, there is like 3 stages of scent evolution with this fragrance. Stage one is very short lived (10-20min), and I don't care for it. Stage 2 is relatively short lived (20-60min), and I don't care for it, almost to the point of really not liking it. But stage 3, is absolutely great! And so far I'm 5 hours in and still loving it.

Based on the scent pyramid I don't think I would like it. I don't mind Anise but it could really clash with the other top notes, I don't normally care for Jasmine and Amber is very hit and miss for me. Of course I could be wrong and it could totally rock.
I had a chance to smell the Plague Doctor when the Groomatorium was in California. I thought it was supposed to smell like lavender so when I smelled it i was confused. I think Peony can be a bit pungent but the way they describe it I would have thought it would be more enticing than it was.

Agreed. I don't expect it to be elite. There are plenty of soaps that I use and love that are Tier 2. Heck, I just bought two new Mama Bear soaps. We all like different soaps for different reasons. We are starting to get spoiled with all these Elite soaps.... but every shave doesn't have to be elite.
Thanks. I looked it up before the shave, and made cliff notes on my mirror, but then couldn't read my notes, since I was in a hurry. I mistook Ber (Bergamot) for Ban, and said Banana, And somehow got Apple from Anise. That said, I smelled no anise. I got pineapple, and I guess Bergamot, but it didn't seem citrusy, aside from the pseudo citrus that pineapple gives. And I swear that I smelled apple mixed in, but again was probably the combo along with the power of suggestion.
It's now about 10 hours past application, and my arms still smell great. I guess I can deal with 30 minutes of weird to smell this good all day!
