Good morning Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Another great shave today. Went back to Murphy and McNeil's "Tobac Fanaile" which, as the name indicates, is inspired by Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. Very good dupe but the M&M is a bit more fruit forward and the tobacco flower seems more prevalent as well. Still, it's a great soap and scent. I love their Aon base. Whips up a thick & slick , yogurt-like lather with very little effort. Three passes for a DFS++ result. Soap and matching splash and I finished with a spray of Alexandria Fragrances "Sweet Smoke" EdP.

Hope you have a great day. :)

STYPTIC PEN: Clubman
Razor: Feather Artist Club SS Kamisori
Blade: Feather professional
Soap: SV Opuntia
Brush: TSC SV Shaving Brush
Aftershave: TOBS Sandalwood
Balm: Nivea Cooling
Holy bloody face Batman! I am not used to using a shavette that is for sure!! I gave myself weeper after weeper and managed to treetop a few small moles on my neck as well. A straight razor rarely cuts or causes weepers for me, but this thing! Wow! @woodpusher, you knew what you were doing when you sent it to me, didn’t you 😂.
The SV proved to produce a serviceable lather, this was my second go at it. Unfortunately I still had to go back to the soap for the third pass, but it is great smelling slick soap.

I’ll have to keep working at my technique with this thing, I won’t let it beat me. I’m flabbergasted that it’s so widely different from using a traditional straight.

Soap Stone Cottage Hesperide
Brush Yaqi 24mm Silvertip
Razor Gillette Super Adjustable U-1
Blade Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum 2nd + shim
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel MitA + Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic Splash
Nice tabac like scent with good strength from this surprisingly cheap soap. The lather quality was acceptable...
Another nice locally found razor paired with the blade gives a good mild shave but with an added shim, gives abit extra aggression...yet smooth and comfortable. 3passes for a mostly bbs finish. Aftershaves were excellent for a hot humid day.
