This is a very nice locally made soap. I just love the beautiful natural herby scent. The lather was very creamy and slick too...
This shaves with one of my favorites but long-ignored razors paired with the excellent blade was very nice! Crisp, smooth, and comfortable in 3++passes for a bbs/dfs result without any issues. The aftershaves were very nice too!

On first use, as others have noted, the shaving soap's scent seems mainly to be a green one, although I think I may detect a subtle sweet gourmand tone. It made excellent lather, even though I ended up using a touch too much water. As always, the copper H&S head chattered constantly; I like it. And the fougere scent of the soothing aftershave complemented that of the soap nicely.

Many descriptions of this scent are vague and āhauntingā and I do think I understand where they are coming from. For me, off the puck I get mostly an āoatmealā type scent almost like Aveeno lotion (I get something of the same from the Ethos Vegan Tibu Sabuni shave crĆØme). The splash brought out more of the tea/red berry that is supposedly hiding in there. The āhauntingā part of the scent is the fact that Iāll get random whiffs of it throughout the day, where it is clear and clean and just a touch sweet, like I had come in contact with a womanās perfume at some point in the day and carried just the smallest bit of it away from that encounter on my own skin. Certainly something to keep using and see how my impressions change with time.
Otherwise, the Omnibus base is something I think you just need to experience. It lathers beautifully and gives me a great shave and post feel every time.

The more I use this soap, the more I'm loving it... a beautiful scent with a creamy and slick lather...
The more I use this antique razor the more I realize the edge is good but my techniques needed to be better. Today, the razor gives a super smooth and comfortable 3passes for a respectable dfs/ccs result without any irritation or weepers. The aftershaves were just terrific...a very enjoyable shave!
