Oh man what a refreshing shave! Decided to soak in a hot bath this morning, even though it may seem a bit girly, it feels great for the joints. And helps soften the whiskers a bit. Also went with a hot towel (something i never do) but figured it couldnt hurt.
Turtleship is one of my favorite soap bases. Just take a look at the ingredients, LOADED with skin food and good stuff. Some people complain about their scents, although i personally have no problems with the ones i have tried (Pine, Te Java, Patchouli, Bay Rum) and the scents get stronger once lathered. The Pine scent is not overly heavy as pine scents can be sometimes, but once lathered was about 6.5/10 and had no problem detecting scent at all.
Performance is off the charts. Even residual slickness was top notch. Was able to do touch ups and face was still slick even after rinsing, this is a trait many artisans are lacking IMO. Post shave is crazy good as well. Paired beautifully with Taigia A/S. Really miss this Latha pine line, ingredient list is rediculous for how inexpensive this stuff was. Very happy with the results from todays shave, and hope y'all had a similar experience!
P.S. here is a quick lather shot. Turtleship is so good i felt it deserved a pic (even though its a bad shot in poor lighting lol).
