Rich's Journal: Adventures with Life and Sharp things

@BarberDave
Today marks the 250th anniversary of BarberDaves home on the surface of the sun. In honor of this my shave consisted of a Case Red Imp, Groomatoriun’s GhostTown Barber, and an old Chestnut brush that may have been part of a tree when the Presidio San Agustín del Tucsón was founded. Tatooine, being a desert planet with two suns to be close to, was part of the inspiration.

Here are a couple of thumbnails:

Today while cranking out a routine Vector and Pre de Provence shave, I’m musing on issues of concern with our upcoming vacation. ChatGPT and I figure that over the 13 or so hours of the flight, 270 passengers of a Boeing 777 might generate about 104 gallons of pee into 8 restrooms. With each passenger going approximately 3 times each. I suspect the computer might think I’m some kind of weirdo.

Today was a standard shave with Proraso cream and a Gillette Slim with a Bolzano blade. Today it’s my Dallas Cowboys powder coated slim. Not for lov3 of the Cowboys football club. Rather it because I like the Cowboys Cheerleaders. There.. I said it.

For all you fans of AI (@BarberDave, @NurseDave, and perhaps others), I present this indisputable evidence that AI sucks. Even a cursory glance will show you that AI got Rich’s hair color, skin tone, and facial features (NO WRINKLES!) completely wrong. And I didn’t even mention the lousy focus on the cheerleaders. AI sucks.
Case closed. 😎

"A spoonful of hot ash helps the lava go down
The lava go down
The lava go down
Just a spoonful of hot ash helps the lava go down
In a most delightful way"

People experimenting with drugs in the sixties came up with some weird stuff. Thankfully, an alternate version of the lyrics made the final cut.

Today I used CBL’s Doc Holliday with a Gillette Old Style. Performance of the soap seems better than previous bases. The peach forward fragrance was quite subtle off the soap and through the shave, but it really came out with the aftershave. Almost too much so, but I’ll try it again so see if it wasn’t just a surprise. It received spousal approval right away and she did not perceive the peach as much as I did.
September 2nd is the date the Japanese signed their unconditional surrender aboard the USS Missouri. Thank a veteran, especially our remaining WW2 vets.
