The process-
Soooo an early morning shave today. Yay me! I will be starting a 3017 of a CBL Tonsorial soap on 01/01/2020, so I thought I would go ahead and start the work week with a different CBL soap. Coincidentally, both the Tonsorial and the premium base, that I am using today, are both Sir Fougere. So I tried something a bit different in my lathering today. Not sure if it made a difference or not, but I thought I would try it. I put some water on the soap and swirled it around for a minute; not blooming, just wetting. Soaked my brush for a minute or two and then wrung it out. Started with a damp brush and loaded the soap for 30 seconds. I whipped up a bunch of lather. Actually more that I usually do. I did keep adding water as I went and the volume just kept increasing. I had plenty for the shave and post shave. Very nice. Something of interest. After I wet the soap and set it aside, the scent really started building before I event started lathering.
I didn't grab an SR because I was just a wee bit pressed for time. Hard to believe, I know. So the Jectah' got the nod. I went with my standard three passes of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Damn. That was an easy peasy shave and I am BBS for the win! That razor is kinda light in the hand and you can motor it around like an Indy car. It's almost like cheating. I'll take it.
Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a drip dry. Followed with a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain. Man, that was a great shave to start off the week. Life is good!
Home Front-
Work, work, work. I do have a short week. I will be off on New Years Day and on Friday. But I'm sure I will have plenty of work thrown at me. Not much going on with the home front so far.
