The process-
Today was the last of the late morning shaves for a few days. So it was bittersweet. Kept the brush, but changed up the other bit of kit. Went with a damp brush and a 30 second load time. Nice lather, but I had to work for it. Seems like a clean brush will hold more water and hog lather. Anyway, I got that sorted and had enough for 3 passes and a post shave lather.

40 laps on leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. A very nice shave indeed and I am BBS for the win! Nice ... very nice. That’s the way to start the day.

Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a drip dry. Very nice dry down. Then a glug of the AS and everything was right as rain. I’m glad I did a blind buy on this set, at the recommendation of others. I really dig this scent. Life is good!

Home Front-
Mostly a chill day today. I do need to wrap up a few small things, then mentality prepare for work tomorrow. Yeah right, it’s a chill day.

The process-
Soooo an early morning shave today. Yay me! I will be starting a 3017 of a CBL Tonsorial soap on 01/01/2020, so I thought I would go ahead and start the work week with a different CBL soap. Coincidentally, both the Tonsorial and the premium base, that I am using today, are both Sir Fougere. So I tried something a bit different in my lathering today. Not sure if it made a difference or not, but I thought I would try it. I put some water on the soap and swirled it around for a minute; not blooming, just wetting. Soaked my brush for a minute or two and then wrung it out. Started with a damp brush and loaded the soap for 30 seconds. I whipped up a bunch of lather. Actually more that I usually do. I did keep adding water as I went and the volume just kept increasing. I had plenty for the shave and post shave. Very nice. Something of interest. After I wet the soap and set it aside, the scent really started building before I event started lathering.

I didn't grab an SR because I was just a wee bit pressed for time. Hard to believe, I know. So the Jectah' got the nod. I went with my standard three passes of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Damn. That was an easy peasy shave and I am BBS for the win! That razor is kinda light in the hand and you can motor it around like an Indy car. It's almost like cheating. I'll take it.

Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a drip dry. Followed with a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain. Man, that was a great shave to start off the week. Life is good!

Home Front-
Work, work, work. I do have a short week. I will be off on New Years Day and on Friday. But I'm sure I will have plenty of work thrown at me. Not much going on with the home front so far.

Fun shave! I look forward to trying an L Injector finally to see how the mildness compares to the M.

Hope the first day back goes well!

The process-
Made a slight change in the kit today to wrap up the year. The Henckels got the nod this morning. I went with the same lathering technique that I did yesterday. A quick splash of water across the soap and dumped it. Had the brush just damp and loaded for 30 seconds. The results were actually slightly better than yesterday and I had a lot of lather going on. I did add just a bit of water to the brush, in addition to rinsing between passes. The soap just kept building and building. Great stuff.

40 laps on leather, just to wake things up. I went with my standard three passes of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Outstanding shave and I am BBS for the win! Rockin' the JNat edge this morning ... that is some good stuff. Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a drip dry. Followed with a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain. Great shave ... I'll take those all week long. Life is good!

Home Front-
Setting them up and knocking them down at work this week. I will be off tomorrow and on Friday ... yay me! On the personal side, things are still kinda quiet. Still have not found a car for the missus yet either.

Good luck with the car hunt! A couple of years ago I was in a similar situation. We figured that over 2-3 months we test drove 20 or more cars, before we found one that checked most of the boxes. Fun at first, then sort of tiring, then a mission to get it over before the snow fell!

And I love the avatar! Underdog and the vitamin ring!!!

Nice shave Tim! Hurray for more days off!

I hate car shopping. It’s not even the looking or test driving that bugs me (we usually go already with an idea of what we want)...it’s the sales people and the paper process! Just mind numbing and takes forever! It’s literally a half day long process most times, of you’re lucky. We went to CarMax this last time and it was probably one of our better experiences, at least from the looking and dealing with salespersons aspect.

I'm with Gear. We did CarMax for my wife's last car and I know you pay a few % more there, it's worth the lack of hassle to me.

We may have to give CarMax another look. They originally didn’t have the car she wanted.

Nice shaves, Tim! I'm glad that everything is going reasonably well except for the car hunting. I have a feeling that hunt will end soon. Happy New Year! Give my best to Deb!
