The process-
Goodness ... all kinda things going on today. First day of a new year. So ... Happy New Year! TSC Appreciation shave, CBL Tonsorial 3017 and the dreaded “S” thing. So ... let’s get to it. I have the puck in a vintage OS mug, because reasons. I did let it bloom for about 10 minutes to get it somewhat hydrated too. Kept the Stirling boar and ran it damp. I was adding water as I went and rinsing between passes. I had plenty of lather to go around and even flung some about my work space. I’ve never tried the vintage, but after the “S” thing, I may buy a modern Williams for giggles. I’m curious how they compare.
40 laps on leather and it was go time. I went with my standard three passes of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Very nice, close comfortable shave and I am BBS for the win! That’s the way to start a new year right there! Man I’m digging it.
Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a drip dry. A few minutes later and I hit it with a glug of the AS and everything was right as rain. Oh yes it was! ice post shave and I smell amazing! Life is good!
Home Front-
So off work today for holiday. Then back to work Thursday and I am done fir the week. Still trying to shake a cold I picked up the day after Christmas. The kids came over for dinner and fireworks last night. We are outside the city limits, so just go out to the driveway and light ‘m up. Good times! I think that’s all I have for you today.
Why bother? They are average at best, in my experience. I hold this truth to be self-evident: modern Williams is not that good. YMMV.

The process-
Early morning shave ... yay me! Back to the grind for one last day this week. There have been a lot of people out from work this week. So a mostly quiet work week with some documentation/housekeeping type stuff as well. This is day 2 of the Tonsorial 3017 and so far so good. I would hope so ... right? I was in just a bit of a rush, so I grabbed the Slim this morning. It was still loaded with the Wizamet and is going strong @ 9 shaves in. Used a damp brush and whipped up another really nice lather with enough for 3 passes and a post shave lather. Either the scent is opening up a bit more, or my nose is just picking up better. Either way, I'll take it.
I went with my standard three passes of WTG,XTG and ATG with no drama to report. Quick and easy peasy shave and I am BBS for the win! Man ... that was some greatness right there. Nothing like an easy, efficient shave to close out the work week. Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a drip dry. A glug of the AS and everything was right as rain. Indeed! And I still smell amazing as well, so there's that. Man I really dig this scent. Life is good!

Generic Witch Hazel

The process-
Late morning shave this morning. Mixed the kit up just a bit and got to it. Whipped up a really nice lather with enough for two passes and a post shave lather. Yup ... just two. My shave was all jacked up today, but no fault of the soap.
I went with an unusual two passes of WTG and ATG with no drama to report. Yeah, only two passes because I got a call mid-shave and had to wrap up quicker. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. At least I scored a DFS, so there is that. I’ll take it.
Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a drip dry. A splash of generic Witch Hazel and I guess everything was right as rain. I discovered right before the shave that the Avon Deep Woods that came in yesterday is cologne, not AS. Freaking cologne. So the Witch Hazel got the nod. I did try and use some of the cologne, but my sniffer is messed up and I can’t smell it. But in spite of that, Life is good!

The missus and I had Dr appointments first thing this morning for the funk. Blew my sleeping late. We both got shots and meds, so maybe will clear up soon. Big dog got a bath. Now to feed horses and call it a day. Still bummed about the cologne, but I included
