Finally got this old lather bowl sanded and oiled up with Tung oil. Still has a bit of smell from the oil, but that will pass. The soap is vintage AOS that I scored from Matt @Luecke3262. I had to give this a try. I was gathering up my gear and the soap just exploded with lather just by looking at it. Man oh man, good stuff! Wrapped the shave up with the Aramis ASB and cologne. Life is good!

It just looked a bit chipped on the end and i was teasing a bit.

i'm also voting for 'square point' to be called 'German point' as they seem a little left out in the European steel classifications it seems to me, despite making great razors and for 'spike point' to be 'mother-in-law's nose' which transcends language
.
Swedish steel could make a play for this.

You know i want to superimpose a face of each nationality on the end of the blade, but time is short!

Nice, Tim. AOS is a very nice soap. Is that actually an unscented puck, or a lemon one that faded away to naught?
Thanks and so true. I’m not sure about lemon. Matt thought it might be Sandalwood or unscented, couldn’t tell with the plastic on. I couldn’t really smell anything once I removed the plastic wrapper. But my sniffer doesn’t work right either. The missus smelled something faint, but couldn’t identify it. So I’ll treat it like The Fat, a very nice lathering soap to use with any AS.

So … Happy Friday! I had the day off, so it was a chill day. This brush doesn’t make much of an appearance, but is a solid buy. Both the razor and brush are from my Dopp bag. For some odd reason I slept very late today, but this late morning shave setup was just the ticket. A solid shave that left me smelling great and BBS for the win! Life is good!
