The Deets-
Changed it up today and went with one of my first DE setups, a Gillette Slim and Astra SP. Oh man, did it deliver. And this soap and aftershave will always have a place on the shelf. For me, The Fat just works … and it works very well. The nice, light soapy scent, creamy hydrated lather, and the slickness. All in a long lasting, hard puck. I have a few left over or stray aftershaves that I use with The Fat. The one today is a stray that I bought first to see if I liked the scent before buying the soap. Yup, this one is a keeper and easily in my top 10.

Today’s shave was true relaxation after a long work day yesterday, that ran late into the evening. Hot water, quiet house and the soft scent of soap wafting through the air. Letting my mind wander and just taking in all the elements of just being … there. So good! It was my standard three pass shave and I was BBS for the win! With the opening citrus and the final dry down of the AS, just bringing everything together. Life is good!

During the week, I am still working on using up my Stirling Triumph, but changed it up today. Windsor just sounded like a good scent for the day, and it was. Three smooth passes left me BBS for the win! Very nice!

Home Front-
The missus and her eldest son are in Oklahoma today helping out her elderly Aunt. I had to stay behind and man the fort. So I knocked out a few errands and have been hand sanding a vintage wooden soap bowl and lid. Got that wrapped up today and applied some Tung Oil to seal it. I’ll throw more at it until it stops soaking it up and then call it good I have a vintage AOS puck waiting to go in it. Yesterday I also got a promotion at work. Not sure if that’s good or bad yet, we shall see. I think that’s all I have for ya. Life is good!
