Ramblings of a MilkCrate

We even tried raw hamburger meat in balls not much bigger than the pill. That worked until she found a pill, now she won’t fall for that one again.
Particularly with the antibiotics and stronger stuff…I think it’s the overpowering med taste/smell that you have to shoot to overpower with food smell.

Cheese and peanut butter have worked before too. Until she found the first pill in each. She is a pain. And she has a big slobber mouth, so it you force them you have to hurry so the pill doesn’t melt.

Man, I have been a slacker in my journal. Stayed with the same setup until Thursday. Yesterday and today were mystery soap day. I’ve had really good shaves. Life is good!

Home Front-
I guess I’ll update on the pups first. The dogs are doing a lot better. Stomach issues have been quieted in both dogs, but they still have medicine to take. For Turbo, we can hide meds in a treat and that is nice. For the Bully, you can’t hide them in anything. She will find them and spit them out, so we just wrestle her and shove them down her throat. She is fighting less now, so that is nice. And of course Turbo is tearing up a new large bed that the two little dogs share … brat.

Thursday my stepson and I went Bass fishing and we caught a total of 12 fish. The weather was outstanding, check this out.

Friday was nice and hit 80 again but there were strong winds. We hit the high over night last night. And today it is 52 degrees. Grrrrrrrr. Have a bit of work work to wrap up today and then a visit with my mom and stepdad tomorrow. That’s it for today.

Went back to this soap/AS again on Sunday and will rock it the rest of the work week. The plan is still to knock out this set and move onto the next one. I think I have finalized my permanent rotation, now it’s a matter of using up some one and done sets, then buy the few remaining that I want to add. This may take awhile. Was hoping to be there by Spring, but I won’t make it. At least I won’t run out of soap soon.

Had another great shave today. Three smooth passes and I am BBS for the win! Wrapped everything up with a healthy splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! I am really enjoying the shaving tools at my disposal, they make for very enjoyable shaves. I have my razors and brushes sorted, now just finalizing soaps and aftershaves. Life is good!

Home Front-
I don’t think I mentioned it but the missus was out of town for the weekend. Thankfully the pups and I survived. I didn’t get near the to-dos done that I had planned, but that’s ok. She came back home yesterday morning and just relaxed while I worked from home. I took today off for our 31st wedding anniversary. I am truly blessed that she kept me around all this time. The pups are the same. They are feeling so much better. But they still have to take pills until they run out. That should be Wednesday for Turbo, and Saturday for the Bully. Guess that’s enough for one update. Have a great day!
