The Shave-
Back to the morning shave. It’s been a kinda random week so far, so I went with Stirling One. Great choice and an awesome shave!

Home Front-
As you know, we have 3 inside dogs. We also have 3 outside cats. They are barn cats that wondered up here and Deb started feeding them. They like to sleep in the garage, so I bought a cat tree to keep them off other things. We use the garage door as are main door and during the day, while I’m working, we keep the garage door raised about 6” for the cats to come and go. So after work yesterday I came out to raise the door up and step outside. I immediately smell a skunk and the 2 cats, in the garage, are huddled in a corner.

I open the big door up in case I have to make a run for it. Cat food is scattered all about the laundry room, but no skunk. I step out and my neighbor is on his porch yelling that there is a skunk in back yard. I check it out and it had dug under the fence and had escaped into the pasture. Ah ... country life.

my older brother made the mistake of shooting a skunk when we were kids. at the time we lived in an older trailer home and lets just say that was a very rough night! hope that one didn't stink things up to bad for you in the garage.

The Shave-
Early morning shave today and it was very basic. I was a bit pressed for time, so I grabbed the Slim. I also loaded up a sample of HCSC Aegyptus that I scored from @Patelliott, thanks Pat! The soap smells really nice and I wanted to try it. I don’t use a synth much, so I grabbed that as well. Went with a damp brush and got after it. I whipped up a really nice, wet lather. I’m digging the scent too.

I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. That was an outstanding shave! Slickness and residual slickness were there in spades. Man ... that was slick. I never could identify a single scent, but it didn’t fade though the shave. A nice easy peasy and I’m BBS for the win! That’s how you wrap up a week. I also had plenty of lather left for a post shave lather while I cleaned my shave gear.

Wrapped everything up with splash of water and a pat dry. A healthy splash of nothing followed this shave, I wanted to check out the post shave feel. And you know what friends and neighbors? Everything was right as rain! Yes it was. Great post shave feel from this soap. Man, that is a great soap base. I could see me adding this to the rotation, and if I do I am blaming Pat! As an added bonus, it’s missus approved. Life is good!
